I pull in to the lot. Trade the bills. The transaction is made. I now look in awe at these little green pills that are soon going to sledgehammer my mind into oblivion.

Now i sit on my front porch, about an hour and a half after taking the pills (nothing to note in the time prior except for stupid stoned antics) staring at my burning cigarette. The whisps of smoke being softly carried away by the breeze amazed me. After the cigarette, my mind goes blank for a bit.

2 hr mark: (I do not remember this but this is what my friend told me) I started going on a hitler style rant with the hand waving and screaming and shit. I was talking about how everyone is living in their own goddamn personal bubbles an d how sickening it is to see that people care more about the next winner of American Idol than the next elected president.

2 hr 30 m: I smoke some more weed. Watch the celtics losing to the hawks. Not a care in the world, even as a small but steady drool falls from my lower lip.

3 hr: Im tired. Decide to go to bed. Dream of the fentanyl patch i will be enjoying the day after.

I'm assuming you took all the pills at once. What made you decide to do that? I doubt you can remember much with such a high dose, but if you are able can you add more detail? This is pretty lackluster as it is.

Btw if you did take all that at once you're lucky to be alive (especially with inexperience).

22.5mg of valium(diazepam) is not such a high dose, even for unexperienced persons. it is slightly (2.5mg) above the recommended therapeutic daily dose. Even so, benzos aren't life threatening by themselves. You could eat a whole bottle of valium and still be alive (after a nice loooooong nap :P ) . the danger comes when you mix them with other CNS depressants such as alcohol and opiates.

Back to the OP - hehe the hitler style rant is interesting. I think it's because you were stoned which activated your philosophical mind, and the valium removed your inhibitions so that instead of thinking alone, you thought out loud :)
Do you usually think about things a lot when your stoned?

Also, did your tiredness come "all at once"? I find during the first ~3hrs i get all the nice anxiolytic effects, but then all of a sudden i feel extremely tired and want to do nothing but fall asleep.

What are you talking about? You can die from benzodiazepines alone, it is rare, but possible. You can go into a coma too, or suffer from respiratory depression and pass out. Even if you don't die from the drug itself, you may die from one of the overdose symptoms (i.e. passing out while using machinery, or on steps).

To the OP, add some more information, you left out way to much detail. I know benzos are hard to describe since you usually don't remember much, but if you can't write a full report, wait until next time and try and write as you're on the drug itself.

take enough of anything and you will die. For benzos, it just takes a relatively large amount to do the job.

Wikipedia said:
The oral LD50 (lethal dose in 50% of the population) of diazepam is 720 mg/kg in mice and 1240 mg/kg in rats.[27] D. J. Greenblatt and colleagues reported in 1978 on two patients who had taken 500 and 2000 mg of diazepam, respectively, went into moderately deep comas, and were discharged within 48 hours without having experienced important complications in spite of having high concentrations of diazepam and its metabolites—desmethyldiazepam, oxazepam, and temazepam—according to samples taken in the hospital and as follow-up.[78]

If we are considering toxicity, wouldn't it be more appropriate to exclude environmental factors such as driving, etc? :)

My post was in response to bagera_tomorrow thinking 22.5mg of diazepam by itself is a dangerous dose to a non tolerant person. To me, it was not dangerous - at all. But other people will have a different threshold for danger, and i apologise if i was a bit brash :)

Just joining in the fray and saying that 22.5mg of valium is not really much of a high dose at all. You may be thinking of other benzos, which have doses of .5 to 1mg. But a recommended single dose of valium for relaxation and stress relief is 10mg, or even 20mg.

Yeah, 20mg diazepam (Valium) is roughly equivalent to 1mg alprazolam (Xanax).

LOL lucky to be alive after taking 22.5 mg of diazepam? you must be confusing it with a different drug.

every benzo ive ever taken, which is alot, i only need 2mg or so to have a great time. 5mg is way nice, but not particularly necessary. 22.mg sounds ridiculous to me, from my experiences

first time i had diazepam i had 20mg and barely felt a thing all it majorly did after the 6 hrs i had it i went to bed and slept in a little longer than normal i then tried 40mg and not much else, i find it doesnt work too well on me unless i was expecting the wrong things
