ValiumQuestion

Guest
hello kids

is it true that valium is the strongest muscle relaxant in regaurds to one of the five criteria for benzo classifications (sedative, hypnotic, anxiolytic, anticonvulsant, muscle relaxant and amnesic).

i ask because im prescribed valium exactly for the muscle relaxant ability, im told its the strongest muscle relaxer really (more than soma, flexeril, robaxin, etc...). also, im prescribed klonopin for anxiety/mania, which i dont feel as physically relaxing as valium, though klonopin is definitely noticably more mentally calmin/anxiolytic....

so anyway, is valium really the most noticable physically? like xanax knocks you out cold if you take too much, klonopin just makes things very calm but you can still function, valium seems to feel in between, at least for me....but my main question still stands

is valium the most potent muscle relaxer of all benzos?

thanks

actually clonazepam is considered one of the strongest muscle relaxant benzos, but diazepam is also a strong muscle relaxant.

specific effects from benzos varies among individuals, so "what benzo is the strongest muscle relaxant?" is a difficult question to answer and is likely going to get mixed responses.

Tetrazepam (Myolastan) has to be noticed as it is used primarly as a muscle decontractant here.

I'm unsure, but I find the muscle-relaxant properties of Diazepam to be very nice indeed.
Ample for my needs anyway =)
Then again, if I remember correctly, Nimetazepam was bloody well hardcore in every respect (Sedatory, Anxiolytic, Muscle-relaxant and no doubt Anticonvulsant)!
5mg had me on my arse! =D
Rare as a Hare on Crack over here in the West though.. Infact anywhere outside of East Asia.

you can get it if you look hard enough.

personally i didnt really like nimetazepam,it seemed to have paradoxical effects on me :( less than 30 minutes after ingestion it had me reaching for the clonazepam to calm me down!

Really???
I was in a state of utter relaxed (beyond belief) euphoria. Poor you :(
It's weird how certain Benzos can have such random effects on each person.
I'd have considered them one of the least subjective substances, effects-wise, out there.

Clonazepam and Diazepam are two of the strongest benzodiazepine muscle relaxants. In the UK Clonazepam was specifically prescribed as an anti-convulsant for seizures because it has such great muscle relaxant properties. Diazepam is also prescribed to treat seizures. But not everybody reacts the same.
