Benzos Valium and Ambien

just woundered if anyone else has had this happen.
if i take valium during the day and then take my ambien at night i barely get any effects from the ambien, and it lasts a few days after ive taken the valium. so has anyone else had this happen or know the reason behind why it happens?
 
i agree.. if you want to take ambien at night with good effects than use a shorter acting benzo during the day.
your other option is to drop the ambien and take valium during the day and one at bedtime.
 
thanks for the advice guys, suppose i'll have to get rid off my valium some how as i really prefer the ambien at night. just one more question how many days after taking the valium would i have to wait before the ambien worked at full compacity again?
