Uzedy and DXM Trips

Since August of last year I've been receiving monthly injections of Uzedy (risperidone depot intramuscular injections). It seems like the intensity and scope of my DXM trips have been severely lessened since I've started taking it. I've never had hallucinations on drugs so I can't use that as a measure. But when it comes to mind trips I have had some trips of enormous, oftentimes disturbing DXM trip phenomenon.

Since the Uzedy has been started I've had almost no such activity when attempting DXM trips. Twice in my four last attempted trips there was no high at all despite my having gone off the DXM trips for awhile and despite using my regular doses. And the trips I have had phenomenon on, it has been severely lessened and scoped.

I'm not sure how my trips would fare vs. oral antipsychotic regiments as opposed to injections, but it feels like the Uzedy has killed some trips and put an enormous dent in others.

I'm on court ordered treatment so I have to keep getting the injections or end up back in a psych hospital. It's sucked with weight gain being a severe side effect of the drug, along with some severe restless body issues and such.

Has anybody else been on depot injection antipsychotics and noticed a change on their trips before, during, and after?

I experienced than even relatively "weak tranguilizers" such as alprazolam remove trippy feelings of dxm so, any antipsychotic will definitely cancel dxm effects. Maybe, and i say maybe some very anticholinergic ones can be exception but i am not sure.

This prob doesn't apply butbi take oral rispedal and I haven't noticed any difference with dxm. I usually take small doses now but I used tobtake large doses and I can't really say that rispedal effected them. If I knew I was gonna take a big trip I might not take it day before and of but that doesn't really help your question. I think it all comes down to personal experience. If your trips are muted out it prob is the injections. Prob why thry make you take injections so you dont skip it. Again, not very helpful but thats my experience

I can try to help more.
I do dextrometorfan regularly now because i am running from my opioid addiction ( it works but thats another story ).

I take mostly diazepam - benzodiazepine - very usefull and i take it in HUGE amounts. 30mg is daily max i had 300mg yesterday.

I couldnt sleep at night because of probably dxm so I took chlorprothexine ( typical antipsychotic ). Did not help me fall asleep.

Does diazepam cancel my dxm trips like alprazolam ( another benzo of different kind ) ? No. I was calm, trippy, had great day and no need for more than 12,5% of my usual opioids. Unfortunatelly i had no weed.
So if something does or doesn't cancel dxm effects it depends on roa, ammount, it's kind of difficult to cancel it when I think about it now Maybe it was not alprazolam which canceled it for me before but atypical snri I took togethet with promethazine.
