So there has been some talk about UV-B lighting the last few years & i want to know the full scoop behind the drama so please feel free 2 explain what you know about the effects of UV-b on plants, skin etc. and your opinion.

I think the UVB may prove useful as long as no one gives themselves skin cancer or puts out a retina by dicking around. All ducts should be aligned before you play around.

UV-B in my book seems more promising the LED.

As far as I know, a small UVB light stimulates the plant to produce more trichomes in order to protect itself. A growing number of growers on the forums are using a small UVB light in their grow rooms and they seem to agree that it makes a difference. How big a difference, depends on who you ask.

I'm confident plenty of people would argue against this. UV B supplements HID lighting or w/e you're using promoting trich production. It doesn't really stimulate plant growth. Different spectrums.

UV B/A are relatively "safe." UV C will corrupt your DNA and turn you into a mutant alien.

I thought UV-B over long exposure caused skin cancer? Also, LED grows done by nasa have been having scary efficiency but we wont see that tech for a bit so still waiting but they have a lot of potential just like UV-B does but when it break down HPS ftw.
