Using DXM to lower opiate tollerance??

I did a search and there were really no true answers other than DXM tends to lower opiate tollerance.
I personally have a fairly high opiate tollerance, about 70mgs of hydrocodone for a buzz.
I'm about 5'8" and weigh about 185-190 lbs. If anyone can answer or give me any information on using DXM for opiate tollerance it would be appreciated.
What I would like to know is does it truly work? Approximately how much DXM must be ingested? How long before taking the opiate should the DXM be taken? Is it recomended to lower the dose of opiate(hydrocodone)?
All information would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

im not sure about tolerance, but i know that DXM can help stop opiate addiction. It sorta tells your brain not to crave it so you dont suffer from withdrawls (i believe thats correct)

Yes, I find it lowers tolerance!
YES! YES! YE... ok so I also think (at least when you are under the influence) you have to smoke less herb to get high, less alcohol to get drunk... it's magical shit, beware...
 
Thanks for the insight so far guys, but how much should I take? About how long before eating the opiate should I injest the DXM? And approximately how much is your tollerance dropped? PLaease help.

As far as how much your tolerance is dropped... I'd suggest doing some research in this field... interesting stuff.
For the opiates: the longer you wait after ingesting the DXM (i'd suggest anywhere between 240-340mg for a powerful trip, but make sure you have some cannabis for it is not easy on the body) the better, but I'm sure opiates just after the peak of the DXM (about 2 hours after ingestion) would create a very nice drug harmony.
