Using DXM to increase opiate effects

I heard once that a small, probably below recreational, dose of DXM taken shortly before you take an opiate, can greatly increase the effects. Has anybody heard of this. If so, please verify or deny this.

I've never tried it but I'm thinking it would probally only make you more likely to puke.. I can't do k and opiates or I end up hugging the toliet.

Yes,as far as I know it does work, take a dose a little bit larger than what you would use for a cold.
I believe it is because one of DXM's metabolites work on the same receptors as opiates(I could be WAY off about this)
