I've been using codeine almost daily for 3 weeks. Of the past 21 days, I've probably taken it 18 of those. Dose is approx 200mg. If I stop cold turkey today, what can I expect in the way of withdrawals?
Yeah, you'll feel a little uncomfortable during the day but nothing that will effect you too much and you should have something like weed or xanax to help sleep, or just do it cold turkey and have a couple nights of restlessness trying to sleep.
I love my codeine high but I'm worried that CWE is leaving behind too much of the bad stuff and I've been feeling some pain in liver area. I love the buzz but not interested in doing permanent harm to my body. I also have a family that has no idea about the codeine use and hopes that they will just think that I have the flu.
Would I be better off tapering? Will this lessen the WD?
^ Does that mean you're experiencing some withdrawal from that much use of codeine you talked about in the first post? Or are you afraid of some possible WD? We answered your question above.
I doubt you'd even need weed or xanax to sleep. An OTC sleep aid would probably work. The withdrawals won't be bad at all...theres absolutely need to taper with that level of use.

I have not stopped the codeine use yet so no, I am not experiencing WD yet. I want to stop soon but am concerned about WD and like I said, I have a family and wanted to know if it would just appear as my having a flu to them. I also want to avoid taking time off work.
Unlikely you will experience anything too severe (although it does vary from person to person), at worst you should be able to explain it to your family at the flu/food poisoning or something similar?
