Hey all! I have a few questions about coca leaves for anyone who has had positive experiences!
I have obtained 100g of what I would assume to be low-mid quality dried/ground coca leaves in tea form. I have consumed it in various forms including chewing, coca-vodka and tea. So far, I've chewed up to 5g with baking soda and all that earned me was the world's numbest mouth and perhaps a SLIGHT mood lift in the right setting but it's negligible. The numbing is cool but takes a few minutes to take effect (not near-instant like some reports I've read). I've also tried soaking leaves in vodka overnight with baking soda, up to 10g+ in a single shot w/ powdered leaf, and that just gives me dilated pupils, a weird mixture of wakefulness and fatigue at the same time, and ANXIETY 8(...which is confusing because isn't cocaethylene supposed to be more potent and euphoric (and toxic) than cocaine itself? Lastly, simple tea made with 2 bags and no baking soda gave me a similar-to-coffee wakefulness that wore off quickly.
Having said that, I've love to feel something resembling euphoria from this. I understand that coca is not = to cocaine, however cocaine isn't euphoric for me either, it too makes me anxious. I know that any effect at all from coca will be subtle, but I'm quite used to experimenting with lots of natural substances which are almost always just a subtle effect, and I enjoy many of them immensely like kratom, kava, blue lotus, etc.. I know how to look for subtle effects and how to make the most out of them, however all coca has given me outside of placebo is mild anxiety attacks and pupil dilation, nothing I'd consider close to euphoria, it's dysphoria if anything!
So, anyone with experience, is there any tried-and-true method that obtains a pleasurable effect? Even if not a full blown euphoria, just a subtle pleasurable head buzz, enjoyable stimulation, anything that is fun! For something that has been used for as long of a time, and as widespread of use across the world, for a leaf being called a gift from the Gods, I would think there's SOMETHING good about using this stuff. Again, granted I probably have lower quality leaves, they still have a strong numbing effect when chewed, induce strong anxiety and dilate my pupils, so there are certainly active alkaloids present that are producing effects....just nothing I'd consider to be fun.
Help anyone? Thanks!!
