Using a Nicotine Patch Orally?

I'm thinking about sticking a 7mg nicotine patch in my mouth. The idea is to deliver the nicotine faster. So I need to ask:

1.) Will this deliver nicotine more quickly than the skin? Will this work at all?
2.) Could this be dangerous? I have a tolerance (I used 2 4mg nicotine lozenges once and it didn't give me any trouble).

A nicotine patch is transdermal meant to be placed on the skin, it will probably make you sick if you try to eat it! If you are set on the oral route, I would suggest getting some nicotine lozenges or gum.

Don't know if it's dangerous but are you sure you want to eat glue?

And who knows what else besides nicotine is in the solution in the patches, they are not designed for oral consumption.

I'm sure it would work though, quicker than transdermally, and 7mg is obviously less than 2x4mg. But there are so many better alternatives, a larger dose of the oral "cessation" products from pharmaceutical companies, chewing tobacco or snus, even ecig liquid sublingually.

Welp, I did it. It didn't seem to do much honestly. Although I didn't swallow anything, I just kept spitting out whatever saliva I had to prevent ingesting glue lol. The spit was pure white....
