Last night I used about 8 grams split into 4g doses(first 4 in 4 1gram vegi capsules, next 4 drank straight), 6 hours apart, purchased from a generic smokeshop under the brand "Red blend" meta-zen is the brand. a couple hours later after both doses I noticed red itchy lumps were forming on the side of my left knee, but I ignored it. The next day I didn't notice anything till 12 hours later about to get off work when I noticed my leg felt super warm and itchy like it was next to a heater. I lifted my pant leg to discover a HUGE rash that was about 6 inches long, burning hot to the touch, and extremely bright scarlet red with red blotches. My heart rate was elevated and the rash was slowly getting was worse, and my breathing was slightly increased. I took 50mg of benadryl immidiatly, and it slowly went away. Today its MUCH better, except theres still a light red blotch where the rash to be and its very minorly itchy. Its slowly dissappearing... I'm guessing i'm allergic?

Yeah probably an allergic reaction if it got better after taking benadryl, maybe a little anxiety too.
Try to avoid brand name kratom as well, it could have something else besides kratom who knows, i personally don't trust those brand name "legal highs".

^ Everything he said. The rash definitely sounds like an allegic reaction, the heart and respiratory issues could probably be attributed to anxiety. The rash could have been caused by the kratom itself or even something used in the manufacturing process of that particular brand, either way it's probably best to avoid kratom from now on. At the very least use an un-refined product from a trustworthy online vendor next time.

Sounds like an allergy. However, packaged kratom from a head shop could easily contain additives. Like 4meSM said, avoid anything with brand names or pre-packed in capsules). If you should try it again, make a tea out of dried leaf.
