Hello all,
In this last year I've started smoking weed and using psychedelics. Weed actually a bit earlier as my use really went up in the summer of 2013. Once I started college that year it seemed that's what my life revolved around. Until January when I aquired a large amount of LSD. That month I tripped 9 times and became very lost. I was failing out of college and spending all of my money on weed and all my time on tripping. I tripped a couple times this summer and within the year I've brought my trip count to over 20.

My last trip was in late July though and since then I've quit weed as well. But it seems every single day I think "damn I want to get lit" or "tripping sounds nice". I want to continue psychedelic and weed use but I have just gotten a great job and I want to use these drugs responsibly (1-2 a year for psychedelics, 3 times a month weed) so I take care of my responsibilities first, but is this possible for me with all of these urges I get? And how can I stop these urges?

Hey Lackasham im going to transfer this over to TDS.

Given that LSD does not stimulate the mesolimbic reward pathway its not associated with addiction or the urges and drives associated with it.

Are you certain it was LSD and not another chemical that has similar effects?

Sl --> TDS

Thanks sorry I wasn't sure where to put it, but positive it was lab tested. I have done other psychedelics and it isn't nessecarily the urge to do LSD, just the urge to be in full blown psychedelia. I love that state and all though it is foolish sometimes wish to always be there.

I knew many people who had taken from the same batch who didn't want to use again not because of bad trip it was just enough for them. I am just drawn to this class of drugs really

Why dont you set and hold yourself to a schedule. Like say you feal that six trips a year would be good. Then plan a six months ahead and get festy tickets or reservations for a resort outa town. Then you can look forward to your trip. So then when you think wow I would like to right now, you can think well in three weeks i will be doing that aspect of my life. Meditation can be very positive substitute for the grass smoking.

Awesome. (I'm a lot like you Lackasham. Chronically (twice a week or more) using psychedelics & marijuana (daily) for about six months.) This suggestion of neversickanymore's is one I've actually recently implemented. I feel good about it. Good luck!

Thank you guys for the advice. I was planning on visiting Alabama in the spring so that seems like a perfect time to set my trip. Also I will try meditation as you aren't the only one who has suggested this to me. Thanks again!
