Hello BL,
My brother took 100mg of tramadol at 6:45pm, and 1 hit of (presumably strong) LSD at 7:45pm. I took about 2 hits of LSD at 7:45. It is now 8:00pm.

I am kind of worried about serotonin syndrome risk from his combination, what should I do? Will I tell if he becomes aggressive/agitated/hyperthermic, will it be obvious when to call for paramedics? Shambles on here had SS from 100mg of tram hours before 1.5 hits LSD. I have metoprolol (beta blockers) I can give him to prevent the hyperthermia?

I'd be very wary about administering any medicines yourself. The safest and smartest thing to do would be to go to hospital now. It could potentialy save your brothers life. I understand that you probably won't go to hospital, so be prepared in case. Serotonin syndrome will manifest pretty obviously, so at any hint, be safe and see a doctor.

Keep your car keys at hand, if he shows any signs take him to the hospital.
Or you can take him now, for the safest option. (I recommend choosing the safest option)

Would not recommend driving on LSD, lol. If something happens call an ambulance - Will probably be alright though. Don't panic and try to make a rational decision based on his condition.

You shouldn't have anything to worry about, people have taken tramadol and MDMA and been fine. LSD does not act as a serotonin releasing agent, ergo no real risk of serotonin syndrome...just a slightly more stimulated acid trip.

Like cryptix said, LSD doesn't release serotonin and 100mg of tramadol isn't a high dose either. Forget about it and have a nice trip.

Serotonin syndrome isn't restricted to serotonin releasers. Almost all psychedelics could theoretically cause it. Hence, serotonin antagonists may be used in treatment. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serotonin_syndrome#Cause

Always better to be safe then sorry...:)

As the OP mentioned, Shambles did have a bad reaction following the use of tramadol and LSD but I can't recall anything about doses.

Calling an ambulance is probably a little premature at this point. Why not wait and see if he shows symptoms first? An ambulance can get there pretty quick, man. Just chill.

^correct. ive takin a tic of molly a few hours after 400mg of tramadol (which is straight dumb) but i was perfectly fine. from what ive experienced and people i know have experienced the only thing tramadol does to psychedelics is dull them down.

I'm going to close this thread now, OP, if you have any other updates, feel free to PM myself or any other member of the Psychedelic Drugs forum.
