Harm Reduction (URGENT!) Potential APAP overdose from CWE

Hi there, I decided to do some codeine today so got 40 tablets added them to about 100ml of cold water (from the tap) and stirred and crushed until completely dissolved.

I then poured this solution into my filter, a piece of tissue paper folded over, completely saturated with cold water and pushed into a glass.

However being the impatient person I was about half hour through leaving the solution filter I squeezed the filter in order to speed up the filtering process, the filter however broke and I ended up getting pissed off and squeezing quite a bit of the sludgy solution into the glass and threw away what was left, if I have to take a guess I would say 30-50% of the sludge leaked back into the glass (which could be 10g of APAP from 40 pills)

I then Re-filtered this solution using another tissue however it just went straight through the filter and ended up in the glass as a really cloudy solution.

I then decided to put this cloudy solution into the freezer for 25 mins and then re-filter it. However once again it just passed through the filter quickly and really cloudy, I added more water at some point as well bringing the amount of water I used up to a maximum of 200mls.

Being the dimwit I am I decided that seeing as the freezer and re-filter step did nothing then it must be ok and its just binders and fillers making the solution cloudy (even though before I broke the filter earlier the solution was coming out clear). *Slaps forehead* Stupid I know...

Its been 8 hours now since I drank the solution and I am worried sick as im afraid I may have eaten anywhere betweeen 5-10g at once, if that is the case then I should defo be going to A+E asap right?

I know this is long winded but is it still possible for that much APAP to be in a solution of 200ml of water that was left in the freezer and filtered twice, how come the solution just stayed really murky when it was gloopy the first time filtering, too much extra water I added?

I'm worried sick, any replies would be greatly appreciated! I think im gonna take the plunge and drive myself to A+E in the next hour, I just truly dont know how much APAP I may have consumed..

yeah get to a and e now. i read a post last week where someone did the same and ended up at the hospital. it takes days for any negative symtoms to show. being sick is one of the first. the post i read was on the dark side part of the forum so go have a look as im no expert

i think if you took 10g of apap that would be bad. but not lethal. i think you got rid of at least half of the shit so I would just be careful not to drink any alcohol or take any more medications for the next few days.

and you should really use a t-shirt and not tissue paper. of course that shit broke...its tissue paper for heaven's sake.

Right I'm getting my shit together and im leaving now... god damn it!

Whats really bugging me though is how did the solution lose its sludginess as soon as it fell back into the glass, do you only get 1 shot at filtering or what? how come cooling the solution in the freezer didnt cause it to re-sludge up?

how much apa were in each pill? Cause u did do a CWE which im sure got the majority of the apap outta there.

ive stupidly taken 12k apap over a 24 hour period and i was fine.

500mg APAP + 8mg Codeine per tablet, So a total of 20g of APAP of which im positive at least 50% was removed with the first filter that broke, I am unsure of whether or not I have consumed or filtered the remaining 5-10g.

It certainly didnt look like 5-10g left in the filter as the solution seemed to pass right through quickly and was no less cloudy than before.

I have just tried adding 4g of APAP to a glass of 175ml of water and quite worringly that solution is'nt as cloudy as the one I drank earlier.... arrrgghh I dont know what to do, going to A+E is going to cause a lot of unneccesary complications for me if I havn't even OD'd, is there some sort of test they can do quickly to determine whether I have OD'd or not or will I be kept overnight just based on the amount I claim to have consumed?

Not having a functioning liver tends to cause one complications as well (death being the most prominent thereof.)

They can do quick blood tests to check, especially if you let them know you think you overdosed on acetaminophen. Get medical attention now.
