I have taken about 450 mg codeine in linctus which also contains sucrose and ethanol

Also taken 25 mg hydrocodone.

50 mg of diphenhydramine

and 40 mg temaz jellies.

Non of these are abnormal doses and have done this combination many times before with higher doses of all chems.

I am really high but i have only been itching my scalp and back of my neck no where else at all ( this is what i always do).

My skin has gone red all over, sort of a tomato colour, I have fairly white skin with a bit of a tan normally just trying to tell you guys as much as possible.

Also my skin has patches where it is much redder and are slightly raised much like a rash or a mossie bite.

I can't see how it could be an allergy as nothing new has been added to a tried and tested combination which i have used on and off for several years.

Any one tell me whats going on.

My only other thought then is that maybe it is some other external source but again nothing new that i am wearing havent eaten anything exotic. I do not have any know allergies or ever have.

Should i seek medical help even though it is actually not doing any harm but is also getting worse for the last 3 hours.

Any help will be appreciated.

You already took diphenhydramine so I would think that would help an allergic reaction. Probably too much codeine.
If you start getting other symptoms, get yourself checked to be safe.

Thanks for reply T. Calderone.

It is exactly what i would say to somebody except it isn't too high a dose considering my tolerance. I have previously taken 500 mg codeine 40mg hydrocodone plus other benzos at the same time.

I did just find out that my linctus also contained diphenhydramine so have taken close to 200 mg ( this seems huge ) that with the DPH taken on its own in tab form.

You are having a severe histamine reaction due to the codeine. However, I am not a doctor, but I suggest going to see one.

Don't fall asleep or be alone in case something does happen.

How can this be considering how much antihistamine i have taken?

Why would it suddenly happen now after years of using this combo??

I am not sure if anybody can actually answer me maybe its a mystery and hopefully will disappear but just looks crazy I am completely red.

should i take more antihistamine i have some loratardine as well safe to take 30 mg of this ??? never used it before its for hay fever generally.

Please guys any advice is welcome doc is out of the question until the morn.

I am both really worried and completely relaxed about it ( probably the drugs haha ) but rationally I am worried and curious.

COME ON PEOPLE speak to me even if its just to say your a flaming idiot !!

This sounds like a histamine reaction caused by the huge amount of codeine. Codeine causes cells in your skin and body to release histamine, mimicing an allergic reaction. It's not harmful but can be unpleasant for a while.

Have a hot shower and don't dose so high next time. Takimng more antihistamines won't help; they will just make you feel dopey.

This ^

FWIW 50mg diphenhydramine is NOWHERE near as much anti-histamines you would have needed to ingest PRIOR to the codeine. 50mg is like one tablet by most standards, and your ratio of histamine releasing agents to anti-histamines/ histamine antagonists was WAY off. No wonder you're itchy all over.

See a doctor if it does not improve or call for an ambulance if you begin to lose consciousness. If it really gets bad just tell the 9-1-1 operator WHERE YOU ARE, and just say "NARCAN"
