I'm sick from getting back on sub after a short break and need to know whether to take more or if I took too much and should just smoke, take alleve and wait through the peak. I need to move tomorrow so I don't want to take even more if I shouldn't, and also need to get a good nights rest.

From my experience, taking too much bupe is just like withdrawal (headaches, lethargy, nausea being the most prominent), so I'll explain the break so we can figure what I should do.

Before this involuntary break, I took 1.8mg of sub, weighed out precisely, daily. The guy I was buying from relapsed and went to jail so I had to take less than a quarter of my dose on Monday and went cold turkey from there. I didn't taper better cause I thought I'd be able to get it on short notice, as I have friends who still take opiates or know people who do. Unfortunately people who are honest with their doctors and take their subs as prescribed, so they have few if any to spare. I have to get it from on/off junkies who take it to avert w/ds.

Monday one sold me empty packs of strips then sped off. Wednesday another sold me random full agonists, which she said were subutex but were missing the markings because she claimed to have snuck them out of rehab in her underwear. After taking my normal percentage of an 8mg sub of one, I laid down waiting for it to kick in and for the headache to go away. The next thing I remember is waking up 6 hours later in full withdrawal. Ran a marquis test and it went brown like morphine etc, rather than purple like sub.

She also sold me half a real 8mg strip. I waited until today (thursday at 6pm) to take 75% of my normal dose of that (1.35mg) because I expected my tolerance to have gone down a lot over the break.

I vomitted three times since dosing, although I didn't at all during the break. This is consistent with taking too much sub, however this is also the time withdrawals would peak after abstinence since Monday. The same exact headache is still here, although it really only fires up when I'm doing something and not laying down with my eyes closed. Bud seems to help. I've gotten headaches from both too much sub and w/ds in the past. I'm very lethargic just as I would be in either case as well.

I took temazepam monday and tuesday to help me sleep. Today I fell asleep during full w/d for two hours, and then felt like I was nodding for a little bit a few hours after taking the sub. I didn't sleep well last night (wednesday, after accidentaly takimg the full agonist). So the nodfing may have been a coincidence?

All help is greatly appreciated. Tomorrow will be a very busy day for me so I need to know whether to take more to get a better nights sleep. Btw I've been on sub for 25 months and last night was the first time I've taken a full agonist since then.

So what does everyone think?

I'm sorry, I don't think there's any way for us to know. It could be because (if) you took a full-agonist opioid and then Suboxone, it could be that you took too much Sub, it could be that you took too little Sub. The only thing I can really suggest is try a lower dose of the Suboxone and then take some more a few hours later if it doesn't seem to be enough. If you are used to taking 1.8mg of Suboxone, and you only stopped for 3 days, I wouldn't think your tolerance would have gone down so much that taking 1.35mg would be way too much.

Also, are you sure brown on the Marquis test = morphine? I thought most opioids were supposed to be purple? I'm pretty sure morphine is purple.

How should I dose tomorrow then? How can I find the right dose? I think it's too much unless I'm just nodding from exhaustion and lack of sleep. I found online that.brown on Marquis is.usually opiates while sub is purple.

I'm sorry, all I can really suggest is start with a lower dose and take some more after a few hours if you feel like you're still having some withdrawal symptoms.

I'm not sure where you read that opiates show up as brown on Marquis. Everywhere I checked said most opiates/opioids, including morphine, should turn purple. Brown can be a number of things or something the test isn't designed to detect. We don't do pill or drug identification here, but you can Google the colour, shape and markings of the pill.

Marquis reagent - Wikipedia lists some substances and their final colours, but remember that there can be false positives or inconclusive results and it can't detect all substances accurately. The only way to be sure of what drug you have is to get it from a doctor/pharmacy or to send it for lab analysis.

The DanceSafe site says "If the reagent turns a violet color (reddish-purple, not bluish-purple) within 20 seconds, this may indicate the presence of an opiate drug". The Marquis test is really designed for testing Ecstasy pills. In the future, please don't take pills without knowing what they are. If it doesn't look like the drug it is supposed to be I wouldn't take it.

I feel no better at all. I have enough real sub for one more dose and should hopefully get more soon.

How should I gradually dose? What increments and how much time betqeen them?

Some good friends are handling today's moving today, but tomorrow I have to carry the big furniture w my parents. Wanna be feeling better by then

Can't thank you enough
