yeah dave thanks for the continued comments.
the thing is, most of these drawings (the ones from observation) are very much based in just that - observation. i hear you when you describe them as 'minimalist line drawing,' but to me my lines have packed in them very large amounts of information. to me, when i observe and draw the figure, contour, value and shading, cross contour, the inference of the bones and muscles beneath the skin, and hair and fabric all sort of have equal power. what i mean is, i have a hard time delimiting which is which, or rather, i decide to draw them all with the same type of line.
i suppose this is a bit non-traditional, and with this set especially, i have added my little flares and doodles to accent my linear musings. :D
