Misconstrued silence.
That’s not apathy you found bridging the beats of anesthetized hearts.
For apathy knows not the labors of love
And you know naught of my labors to persevere

I relinquish blame
So surrender unrequited repertoires.
So surrender unreciprocated reverberation
So surrender unresponsive etiquettes

Revel in novel commonplace
Dance between distinct ranks of flames and frost
Present enough to sense alluring splendor
Fleeting enough to deny an errant temptation

Untimely vanilla.
A quintessential blueprint...
For monotonous love affairs.
Delivered on the next business day before 10:00am

Caveat emptor
And lip service with a smile.
I admire your assembly line rhetoric
Insincerity with an artist’s flare

So permit me to clarify this misconstrued silence.
Brought forth not by apathy...
Rather by a bitter taste left upon my lips
By a spoiled vanilla parcel
Lingering perhaps...
A day later then it should.

In days past...
I had held a conviction
Love ought have the courage to die furiously atop a grand center stage. Not creep silently out a back door...

Duality, you say? ;)
I do so love the way you express yourself. You have a capacity to make me feel like I've seen god and the devil, side-by-side, every time you write. Lovely.

the description ya'll are looking for:
dave is ghetto fabulous.
(plus it's so obvious that this poem is dave's tricky way of talking about how he's waiting for his kilo of coke to come in through the mail)

Dance between distinct ranks of flames and frost
Duality he most certainly does say! Bravo Dave! I feel terrible I missed this on the first time around.
whoa . . .
