You were gone only days but it felt like weeks
Everyday without you, a tear fell down my cheek
Everynight lying awake, staring at the moon
Letting hours pass by
No doubt in my mind that we’d be together soon
You know I love you and if you feel the same
I promise I’ll never leave
Sit and look at pictures of you and me
Wondering and worrying
Together with you, no place I’d rather be
Without you by my side my life seems incomplete
Since the day we met, everyday has seemed like a dream
There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for you
Nowhere I wouldn’t go to be with you
I never thought I’d meet someone like you
Never thought I’d feel a love so true
I miss holding you hand
I miss looking into you eyes
I miss kissing you lips
Give you a rose, from time to time
You name forever on this heart of mine
All I want is some time with you
Watch the sun come down
Sky turn dark blue
Look above and count all the stars
Lay your head back the night is ours
City lights and palm trees
The moon up above
Keep the sky lit for you and me
Leave this world for a moment
Take one look at you
Get lost in your eyes
So warm and so new
Remember back, all the places we’ve been
Always on my mind
Counting the days ‘till I can hold you in my arms again
All the poems I’ve written up to this day
All the words I’ve wanted to say
They can’t begin to express how just how I feel
I wish I could show you these words
Show you it all
My love for you is real

A heart full of trapped emotion
Tearing at my chest
My mind searching for the words to describe it best
I probably love you more than you know
More than you see
Flowers or words can’t begin to show
While you’re out with your friends
I stay home all alone
Spill my heart into these poems
Open my heart and show you it all
Waiting for you to come back
Waiting for your smile
Waiting for your call
Two months we’ve been together
A lifetime ahead
Thoughts of our lives dancing in my head
When my life gets rough
When I’m unsure
I dream away and picture your face
My mind drifts off to a different place
Am I worrying over nothing?
Do you still feel the same?
I haven’t seen you for days
You’re my rainbow after the rain
All I can do is wait for you to return
Kiss your soft lips and take away this pain

Feelings seem to flow into words more easily on paper,
than they do when we’re face to face
Hand in hand
Heart to heart
My days aren’t the same since we’ve been apart
Sit down tonight
Write a poem
With beautiful words
Words that express beauty
Words that express the emotion inside
Words that show a love that I can never hide
Words that make a tear form in your eye
I almost forgot what it’s like to cry
Just relax and let it go
Open my heart and let it show
Take things back to how they used to be
Let me feel the happiness between you and me
Remember back when we watched the sunset
Remember back to the days at the beach
Remember back to when we first met
Sit in the dark and let the words spill on this page
Empty the sadness
Empty the confusion
I lay on my bed
Look at the ceiling and stare
Remember nights in the clubs
Imagine you there
I just let the music stop
I just want to get high
Kill all the loneliness that sits deep inside
The hurt I feel
Never felt before
My head spinning around
I can’t take this anymore
Sit and wonder
Do you feel the same?
Do you miss me to?
I wish I had answer from you
I wish I knew the truth
I walk around the mall
I drive around town
Tear in my eye and my head hangs down
I remember kissing your cheek
I remember your frown

I’d turn it back to when I knew you were mine
But now I don’t know
Too afraid of getting hurt
Afraid to let my feelings show
Don’t know what to believe
Don’t know how you feel
Just tell me what’s in your heart
Tell me the truth, all I’ll ever need
Let me know if you feel the same
Tell me if your love has changed
My feelings for you keep getting stronger
Another day without your smile
Without your touch
Minutes seem like days
Hours even longer
For now I dream of you back in my life
Watching sunsets and holding you tight
Dream of the chance to make things right
