Understanding the universe in your head while huffing

Ok well it's been many years since I've ever huffed anything, for the sole reason of the damage it causes to your/my precious brain. But I have opened this discussion because I used to get these visions, or gas dreams of the universe and vast understandings of my place in it. Think of it as taking a hole shit load of adderal, shrooms, and pcp or ketamine, and then smoking a half pound of salvia after all the other stuff kicks in.

I'm not going to waste your time TRYING to explain a probably 3 minute trip with the next 2 pages of your browser.

What I will say is that often times I felt as though the entire universe has some vast importance with me and everytime i huffed the solvent or fuel it was the same understanding as before just presented in a slightly or Very very differn't way. Like as if their was an echo in the world, every piece of time is waiting for me to do something. and then when it comes to me I instanly kindof know what it is. If it was fresher in my mind then 3 or 4 years back i could probably explain it only a tiny bit better. But you see it's so hard for me to explain or even begin to explain what i felt and saw.

If anybody else knows what I'm talking about please EXPAND on what I'm saying

P.S.
I'm quite embarrased to say this as a avid pot smoker but...
IF IT WASNT SO TERRIBLE FOR YOU GASSOLINE WOULD BE MY DRUG OF CHOICE, THEIR IS JUST SOMETHING IT GIVES YOU, NOTHING ELSE POSSIBLY CAN.

When I was in high school, I sometimes huffed toluene (the solvent in glue and paint thinner). When doing that, I always had the feeling of having deep revelations about the nature of life and universe. There was also a strong feeling of deja vu, I felt that I had seen the situation the previous time when I was high on toluene. Sometimes my friends were trip-sitting me when I was huffing and when high I tried to explain them what I was feeling, but they didn't understand me and they laughed at me...

When I was about 24 years old I tried huffing once again(I stole some toluene from the organíc chemistry lab at my university), but I didn't get as good a high as before, so I decided to completely quit doing that.

Man, I'd love to try some DMT or ketamine and see what revelations that would give me, but they are hard to obtain where I live.

Welcome to the site, but...
Did you read the forum guidelines before posting? This is not advanced. It is deeply, deeply basic.

You can get a very similar effect from nitrous oxide (laughing gas) only it won't do you much harm as long as you don't do it standing up or driving and as long as you don't keep doing it continously so that you don't get any air.

I don't know that it's the same because i've never huffed solvents myself but laughing gas does tend to produce that sense of universal understanding of some great mystery that seems similar to what you describe.

Trying to make this discussion more advanced... Solvents and N2O have been shown to have an effect of blocking NMDA receptors like ketamine and PCP. Maybe that could explain the feeling of universal revelations.

See http://toxsci.oxfordjournals.org/content/98/1/159.abstract

I've never tried ketamine(I've tried second-plateau DXM, though), but the reports of "K-hole" sound in some ways like a toluene trip...

It's not wise to use solvents anyway. They cause severe damage to the brain if used for a long time. I have huffed toluene/gas about 20-30 times myself, and that probably wasn't enough to cause damage to my brain, as I'm a theoretical physics student now and I did well in the advanced quantum mechanics course last fall. I could even say that my toluene trips inspired me for my career in particle physics and cosmology.

Okay way back when i was a young lad of only maybe 11 i discovered that sniffing glue made me feel good :) . My dumb ass spent a few months huffing the stuff on and off because i didnt know how bad it was for you. Not like we had internet back in those days :p . But i read somewhere how it could kill you the first time you huff it so i stopped. I did huff quite abit and it's a testement to the human brain that i am as intelligent as i am today and not just drooling in a corner somewhere like someone who has been lobotomized.

As i got older and got better drugs i tried nitrous many times, ketamine a few times, PCP once and DXM maybe 50 times or so. Neither of these drugs are reallly like what i remember from huffing that dumbass glue. If anything solvents more resemble a big huge shot of IV coke. Ya know the type where you get tunell vision and feel like your going to puke and die?

So for my 2 cents it's nothing like being in the K-hole.

Also how the fuck is this in ADD?

So maybe I'm wrong but huffing solvents can really cause some bizarre hallucinogenic effects, I think... Certainly nothing like psychostimulants.

I agree, this shouldn't be in the ADD.

First post on bluelight I'll be more appropriet with my next posts but I was really super blazed, while writing that and still am a little ;P after a night of no sleep(insomnia, not chems), still havnt slept btw. I was thinking it was advanced at the time though. lol excuses excuses
Btw if you want somthing to read besides drug talk thats crazy as shit

jesus christ get some nitrous oxide. gasoline can give you cancer in addition to a lower IQ. and there have been plenty of cases of sudden cardiac arrest associated with inhalant abuse.

this place is mainly about harm reduction, goddammit. gasoline should not be considered a drug because its effects are merely symptoms of exposure to a TOXIC COMPOUND. shit, next people will be trying to get high off carbon monoxide. hell, cyanide might be amazing too!

dextromethorphan is so cheap and available if you want a dissociative experience.
