Wasn't sure where I should post this so I'm posting it here.

Within the last year or so I seem to experience tremors from time to time, it's mostly shaky hands that I cant control but also like jerky movement with my head when just like turning to look at something.

I'm not sure what exactly is causing this. Im 26, M, and currently taking 20mg of adderall XR 2-3 times per week, and also 1mg or less of a benzo a night, and in the gym lifting 4-5 times a week. Also I experiment with most all other drugs from time to time but only once a month or so, with the exception of alcohol and when I do drugs it's usually smoking a little weed or taking a few opiates.

At first I figured it was the alcohol, as I get drunk once or twice a week and noticed it was worse on the days I was hungover. But even if I go a week without drinking I'll still have days where my hands are shaking, and it's not like the alcohol shakes it's somewhat different.

Anyone else experience this, and possibly know what I can do or take to keep it from happening or make it less severe?

Could it be anxiety?
If I get a really bad panic attack at first my hands start to shake and if it's really really bad my whole body can start to shake.
Alcohol could cause some rebound anxiety the next few days, thus increasing the shakes.

I have anxiety most all of the time anyway, but what's weird is I don't believe I have ever experienced a full blown "panic attack" though from the way people describe. My heart just races and my thoughts go crazy but noone just looking at me can tell Im freaking out lol. So I dont think it's just from anxiety. Even if I'm by my self sitting on the couch and hold up my hand it will be shaking.

The alcohol can definitely make it worse. But I dont think it's the sole reason.

I get tremors and tics when I get stressed and over-clock myself...do yours happen when you're stressed?

Never got a real diagnosis, though I tried with little encouragement from a couple doctors.

Normally as soon as practical I'll go hide somewhere for a couple min and hit my e-cig. The break and the nicotine both work together to get me more presentable.
Though once it happens once a day it's more likely to happen again - hopefully my day will slow down a touch or I'll get out the other side all twisted and negative with terrible stiff joints. . . .

I just started gabapentin for some peripheral neuropathy. . .first time taking it for a while and first time taking it mostly as perscribed and I've noticed I shake a lot less..which makes sense being an anti-epileptic and all. I've tried benzos for the shakes, but enough to get the shakes under control is enough to get me pill drunk and is unsuitable for work.

Less stress when possible, breaks when it hits, nicotine, gabapentin....

Maybe your shakes would make more sense to a doctor than mine, if not you might want to try and talk a doc into trying gabapentin.

Yes it does increase when I'm highly stressed or running on less sleep than usual etc..I'll research the gabapentin some.

Now that Im kind of brainstorming a little, I'm almost thinking it could be blood pressure related? It's a possibility. I need to monitor my BP on those days and see.

My blood pressure does go up on those days, from my baseline of actually rather healthy - to slightly hypertensive when I've been spazing at the doctors office. Think the autonomous nervous system just does that though...
I was on Propranolol which is a beta-blocker for anxiety at one point a long time ago...it did kinda help - but not enough to refill the script. Might wanna give that one a shot too - docs will hand those out super easy for anxiety.

That's what most of my panic attacks feel like too, it's like on the inside I'm going insane, while on the outside I look totally normal.

as a performing musician, gaba abuser and intention tremor sufferer, I'd have to say 20mg of propanolol in a clutch situation seems to pretty much smooth things over completely. It's not for every day use, but when I need it, man I'm glad it's there.
