Ultram and drug tests....

I've done a search and can't seem to find the answer, so I thought I'd post this. I have to take a drug test for work and I was wondering if ultram (tramadol) is tested at all. I know that it isn't scheduled, so I doubt that it would be.

It is just prescription heroin, so yes it will show up on a UA, ok.

Although I don't know the answer to your question, tramadol is by no means a "prescription heroin"

As for as I know, Ultram will not show up in a drug test, as it is not an opiate but an opiode agonist. Even if it does, ultram is sometimes perscribed as an antideppressant so nothing to worry about.

Ultram (tramadol) is an opiate agonist (hence, it's just like Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, etc., just a bit weaker)... So, yeah, you need to worry about testing positive for opiates if you've taken any recently. But, since it's considerably weaker than most opiates, you may not have much to worry about..

Actually hydrocodone and oxycodone don't turn into morphine like codeine and heroine and of course morphine, so they don't come up on drug tests. Ultram doesn't turn to morphine either, so it wouldn't turn a positive. Please don't post misinformation by the way.

I'm sorry, I was misinformed. I figured that because of Tramadol's being a synthetic analog of codeine that it would give a positive result (when taken at recreational doses, that is). Better safe than sorry, IMO.
