Random Health Tips
I thought we could start a thread of random health tips that you have read about or learned at some point in time.
Today in the newest edition of
Men's Health Magazine I read the following information:
-
Portobello Mushrooms have the highest amount of
Chitin which helps protect you against bad cholesteroland could help with a variety of cardiovascular diseases.
-
Vitamin E has been found to help in being a part in alleviating depression.
- Eat
4 Grams of Fiber daily and it can be a big help in losing those extra pounds. Make sure that you find a supplement that has a lot of
Glucomannan.
- Drinking
Green Tea before exercising has been shown to increase exercise endurance.
- Have
bad knee's? Well a new study has found that taking
Glucosamine will help decrease arthritis in the knee point and help overall improve knee joint health.
-
Almonds in there unsalted, raw or dry-roasted state can help you lose weight. They are nutrient rich and contain good cholesterol fat, protien and fiber. Almonds help you lose weight by making you fill "fuller" througout the day hence allowing you to stray away from eating more. Eat
15-20 for a snack, or
50-70 to replace a meal.
- Another tip to help you lose weight is
Whole Grain Cereal. You can lose a lot of weight if you replace meals with Cereal.
- Yet ANOTHER new tip to losing weight is
Calcium. Calcium helps your body with fat. Make sure to get
1,200mg of Calcium a day to help get the pounds away. Look for good sources of Calcium in Milk, Yogart and Cheese, a combo of all three can do you some real good.
- Do you
run or use the
treadmill to exercise? Well a new study has shown that
pushing yourself harder for the first half of your run and then
slowing it down for the second half will help your lose 5-10 more pounds than starting off slow and pushing yourself in the end.
Ok that's all I learned today. Hopefully I have helped someone out there. It would be cool if we could add random tips we have learned throughout the days

Just make sure to post some sort of source of where you got your information from.
