Hey guys.
Not entirely sure where this should go however it's about disability benefits so I'm guessing it should be in the mental health section?
Anyway, I used to receive disability living allowance (DLA) alongside employment support allowance (ESA) however about a year ago my claim came to an end. I was meaning to sort it out so that I could carry on my claim however I was deep in the throws of a diazepam/heroin addiction and then suffered someone very close me pass away. I suddenly remembered I needed to claim back my DLA. When I rang up I was old that DLA no longer exists and that I could apply for something called personal independent payment (PIP). Does anyone else claim this? How does it work? Is there still three different levels of eligibility? Does anyone know what amounts of money per week you get on each different level now? if anyone knows a bit more about these benefits and could let me know a bit more I'd appreciate it. I assume it's the same as DLA and just has a different name. Any helps would be great. Thanks!
