UK - Mind busting jungle drug hits UK

What idiots, saying DMT could be abused like meth in anyway is ridiculous. I think most people would have a very hard time using DMT with any type of consistency. Everytime Ive tried it ive taken months to get the gall to try it again.

you'd be surprised - I've seen some people really go for it...more than a few - in one particular place though - Peterborough.

Where did they get the "linked to schizophrenia" and "flash-backs" idea from? It's like anything that's remotely psychedelic gets plastered with a standard list of supposed side effects that have probably never been proven and if they have only apply to a completely different substance.

WEll actually it IS linked to Schizophrenia - in the sense that apparently schizophrenics have spikes of DMT rushing in their brain when they have episodes - or something along those lines...Ill find a source for this when I've got some time.

QUOTE=Inorganic;8859792]If drug-war hype were true, intercepting that many kilograms should result in an article more like "Less DMT to hit the streets now that it's all been intercepted" not "We intercepted a bunch of DMT; therefore DMT is getting huge."[/QUOTE]

MMMM yes indeed - I doubt there's ever been 126 kilos of DMT all in one place, let alone at one time... Why would we import it? when it's so easy to extract...and it would take a RIDICULOUS amount of time to shift 126k of it...fuckin YEARS.

The 126 kilos they are referencing is probably actually 126 kilos of Mimosa hostilis or some similar plant. The chances that anyone in South America would bother to cook DMT out of the plant matter there, and THEN ship it, are hilariously low, as are the chances that 126 kilos of DMT crystal has ever been in the same place at the same time anywhere in the world.

Also, "being violently sick and having nightmares" is not actually damaging to a human body or mind if it is a purgative experience. It is often quite necessary, in fact.

exaaactly....and intercepting mimosa - well fuck it, it's not illegal, send it to continue on it's journey motherfuckaaaahs - nothing you can do, we dye our hair with it...ahem.

I also like how they did use a quote from that dude on that programme, about it being a frightening but deeply humbling experience - only idiots read the rest of the scaremongering article, and blank over that statement of fact - I'm surprised they even gave that side of things in the article - maybe to prove that only stupid stupid scared ignorant people read their newspapers...

i dont know how many bbc documentaries this guy has made over south american mind altering drugs but on this clip he is clearly taking iboga and not anything ayahuasca related

heh. :) Bruce has actually done 3 documentaries featuring mind-altering drugs. The Iboga ritual was in series 1 of Tribe… and I think it was in series 3 of Tribe that he tried the ayahuasca…
