A SENIOR police officer has responded to an apparent rise in the availability of cannabis in the borough by rallying residents to report suspicious behaviour and claiming keeping the drug illegal is still one of the most effective ways of tackling it.

He stressed that users sometimes turn to theft to fund their addiction and even move onto harder drugs.

Both police and drug counsellors agree problems increased after the drug was reclassified from a Class B to C in 2004, before returning to Class B in 2009.

Ms Kahn added that some people were believed that smoking the drug was not as great a health risk as smoking tobacco, despite the long term side effects of paranoia, anxiety, depression and schizophrenia.

Yep, since it has worked so well over the past 60 years or so - now it is almost completely eradicated. :|

Good, move onto this old propaganda "theory" that has been completely discredited.

Chief Inspector Andy Morgan of Hounslow Police said the negative behaviour associated with cannabis, including psychosis, meant it should not be made legal.
Oh good, Police Chiefs are the ones who should be deciding what drugs are legal based on their psychology training. :|

What a load of crap this article is.

Edit: 3000th post! Where is my medal?

His knowledge of marijuana side effects truly saddens me. He must have smoked marijuana because he appears paranoid about the dangers of marijuana and psychotic because he is apparently delusional
