UK - Bid to ban 'safe' drug after deaths (MXE)

why is it that whenever someone dies with traces of something that society can perceive as being a 'drug' in their blood it's suddenly like 'OMG this is killing us we need to remove it from Everybody's life forever', but if it's one of the few Chosen Drugs which society has accepted, people wouldn't bat an eyelid if it killed thousands and it's quite OK to flirt with it and it's dangers 'in moderation'?
Seriously society should get with the times and give more modern drugs than alcohol a chance and maybe just accept that they're not so perfect that you don't need things like moderation and common sense with them, and nor do they ever need to be.

This is just an excuse, obviously. Society doesnt like this whole "legal high" thing and doesnt know what to do about it. So, when someone dies, they take the initiative and try to use it as a front to ban the substance completely. Its not like they care about the "the children", like you so often hear.

For the record, I dont care about MXE in particular all that much, but I think prohibition is a dead matter that oh-so-clearly doesnt work (how many times must that be said or proven through life experience?). So. GIVE UP!

Next year people will be railing some fucked up neurotoxic pcp analog, with no knowledge of its neurotoxicity. This is because your politicians care about you so much.

UPDATE: and yes, mostly you UK vendors, stop selling things as recreational! YOU are who fucks it up. along with anyone who says "I HEART ROFLCOPTR" and talk about how better mxe is than ketamine on public forums. Which btw... thats from Total Annihilation like 15 years ago. But thats neither here nor there.

Honestly, these drug discussions should be moved to TOR. Links and sources included. And that way we wont have to worry about some mod saying "no identification!" when all you want is some advice (which bluelight used to happily provide, its against the rules now)

So what incomes the pcp analogue and whatever dissociative some chemist invents, seriously the goverment has to give up at some point. I think it is hilarious that they ban something like this which is pretty safe, suprisngly safe for what it is. They will probably even put it as Schedule 1 / Class A while Ketamine is a class C here in the UK. Its just fucking funny that like a month after the ban theres going to be something new, there already is new dissociatives out there. Do they really think there saving people and not hurting them? If they really wanted to do something couldn't they actually look online and see what is dangerous instead of just picking up on things randomly. I know 14 year olds that are more aware of the drug scene now a days then people whos job is to be aware, im unemployed why dont you higher me for your drug shit fucking home office

The two people who drowned in Canterbury is bullshit, they had alcohol in their systems, and they DROWNED, here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-kent-17311051, but does anyone know what actually happened to the two people in Leicestershire ?

This is awfully *cloak and daggers*.

Just a concerned MXE user in the USA. Sorry to necro an old thread, thought it was justified as it's serious...
