Heroin U.S. Pulling Out of Afghanistan : How will it affect the illicit Heroin supply in Eurasia?

I imagine the bulk of their money comes from the pakistani military \secret service You dont fund armies with a bit of dope dealing and card fraud.
If you ask me the dope passes thanks to the Pakistani secret service.

The Taliban raise most of there money via heroin, 100s of tonnes a year is exported, all taxed the government are part of the business and its far too lucrative to stop. I had a friend in the forces who saw caves stacked with opium tonnes of it and was told they could produce the same level of heroin for 5 years even if the supply stopped. The drought of 2010 was too increase the price but also other things were being undertaken, I k now not what.
Btw anyone heard of passmores rehab in Essex?

Tons of heroin doesnt really go that far -especially at source - thats why all the people who make cocaine get a tenner for a kilo of 100% pure. The taliban are selling it pure to pakistan who have the connections to actually sell it in the west - the bloke who buys it in the west makes the money. The taliban will get pocket money.

The taliban also cracked down on opium growing in afghan in 1998 as it is against the will of the lord.

Wholesale price is about 3k dollars a kilo....since 1998 opium production has increased from 100s of tonnes to between 7 and 8 thousand in the last few years. It went from about 180 tonnes in 2001 to 3500 a year later. The Taliban tax the farmers all the way up the chain and best estimates are that they raise $400-600 million but with the illicitness of the trade it's near impossible to get concrete figures but accounts for about a third of their income.

Ironically enough it was attacking the opium growing that contributed to the taliban "winning". That turned all the population away from the "allies" and back to the taliban - even tho most of the country didnt support the taliban.

And i still think you need another country behind you to win a war - criminal level funding doesnt beat the us military for 20 years. The tallymebananas had massive funding from pakisran\saudi etc

*pakisran is just down the road from pakistan..

Alright Ismene!

Where are people getting this idea from that it's Pakistan that smuggles it to the West?

The majority of Afghani #3 that goes to the West is smuggled West via Iran, then Turkey and in to Europe his the Balkans.
Some is even smuggled via Iran, through the Caucasus mountains in to Russia, where a little is sold but at such a high price that most is smuggled in to Eastern Europe (Baltic Countries).

I do know Colombian home/cartel made submarines can now reach Portugal, Spain and West Africa, so they could increase their opium growing to produce more Heroin and ship that over if Afghan supplies drop.

I just hope shitty fentanyl analogues and crappy acetylated opium (What's called Black Tar Heroin, West of the Mississippi in the US.) from Mexico don't make it over via this route too.

Back between February - May 2017, I tried two different batches of Heroin that were going around that were cut with fent' analogues and both were shit.
Very sedative, short acting, like a 3 hour hair at most, also made you black out, wasn't euphoric at all and made you go in to withdrawal very quickly too once it wore off, so people were dosing rediculously loads daily, not just the usual 2x - 3x daily that Heroin users do.
I'm not sure which fent' analogue it was between February and March/April, but it was killing people and then the April to end of May stuff was carfentanyl, which killed a lot of people locally.

I had a friend OD twice in either 6 or 4 weeks.
The second time he was lucky I was with him, as I wasn't meant to staying with him.
Anyway he'd normally inject £10 but could only afford a £5, he only got half in himself and went over.
Ambulance came, after a few doses of naloxone he came round but wasn't in withdrawal.
We went to the hospital for three hours, just incase and still he never went in to withdrawal, that's how strong the carfentanyl was, some had been kicked off his receptors by the naloxone but not all it that it, so it never pushed him in to withdrawal.

Another strand of this - does anyone believe the claim from the dea that drugs are a bigger market than arms dealing or other big buisness? I saw a debunking of this somewhere saying its nowhere near as big as has been claimed - similar to how the cops claim shipments were "worth 500 million" - its all just inflated nonsense to secure more funding from the government.

I’m sure these £500 million value figures come from the end users price point. So that 1kg of heroin that’s chopped into 10kg and then sold at £10 a point. Then, maybe it’s £500 million.
