1. After rolling BALLS at an event 2 days ago, my tongue feels very raw. I know it's most likely just from gnashing around, but it does feel very similar to when I burnt my tongue on some tea that was too hot. I chewed the pill and had a hard time swallowing it, so it sat in my mouth for a while before I was able to find some water and get it down. Could MDXX be corrosive? According to pillreports and ecstacydata.org, the pills I took were MDMA and caffeine.

2. I just got back from an intense cardio workout and I'm glowing so hard I feel like I might as well be rolling. Anyone else have this experience? Anyone know of any science behind it (I know exercise is suppsoed to release dopamine)?

Regarding #1, my tongue feels very strange the next day if I get too dehydrated. It feels leathery and I can see a white layer of dead tastebud cells. If you continued having a difficult time getting hold of water throughout the night, I bet you are dehydrated. It takes your body at least a day to recover from significant dehydration. You might also have been chewing on it or scraping it along your teeth too much. I have seen it mentioned that MDMA is corrosive, but I haven't looked into it....Hopefully someone who knows will chime in.

I don't think MDMA is corrosive, it's likely you were just biting down on it. Or maybe if you were smoking that possibly could have done it.. You wouldn't have noticed during rolling but maybe now you do.

And for the second thing, yeah I know what you mean. I'm pretty sure cardio exercise releases serotonin, I'm not sure about dopamine, but I know that with a hard workout it releases endorphins (hence "Runner's High"). The exact science behind it I'm not positive about though.

1. its called gurning.

2. Many people seem to experience rolling while your not rolling during the first few uses of mdma. Enjoy the feeling.

thanks for the replies everyone, regarding no.1 I did have some cigarettes (my first in a while) and I probably didn't drink quite as much as I should have. lesson learned.

regarding no.2, this is my third roll (pillcount is now at 5) so yay! haha. just gotta maintain the willpower to keep my rolls spaced out

An after glow now would be pretty weird. I'm pretty sure on the science behind this, but I could be mistaken. The first two days after a roll, you still feel uplifted to a point because your brain still has an excess of serotonin. On the third day, it realizes you have way too much and it down regulates, leaving you with less than you started with. The two days after, your brain doesn't release more serotonin, it just has a lot that is left over. Since you're supposedly on the third day, I find an afterglow kind of odd.

i get this pretty much everytime i go near any sort of upper, particularly MDxx and 4-MMC.
Tongue feels rough and leathery, dead skin comes of and the like.

Its nothing to worry about it will sort itself out in a day, 2 at the most.

First time i had e i smoked a silly amount and ate lots of really chalky lollipops, end result was this problem except also on the roof of my mouth. All the skin peeled of like a snake shedding its skin, was pretty grim =]

That white layer is probably just plaque, from sugar or not brushing your teeth or whatever! Just brush it when you do brush your teeth and I'm not certain but I think it gets white when you get dehydrated too! Water water water water :)

It doesn't go away with brushing. I've scraped it out of curiosity and whole tastebuds have come off easily...It's only happened once though. I have found the sweet spot for how much water I need and it hasn't happened since.

Last time I rolled it felt like I had burnt my tongue. My friend said hers felt burnt as well. Both of us were commenting on how food tasted like we had burnt our mouths. This is the first time we've noticed this. So yes, it happens.

As for # 2 - I've gotten a rolling feeling days after (or up to a week) when doing anything that releases endorphens or makes me feel really good, like working out, dancing, listening to great music, drinking alcohol, sex. My friends have said the same thing. Specially with drinking alcohol the week after. Once their buzz gets going they feel a little bit of a roll. Dunno the science behind this, but I know it happens.
