Two part dxm question

Ok so basically some agree its nasty and for some odd reason some like it but basically no way around the taste just drink the shit; ok. But other than dxm there is guaifenesin in it is that make this bottle any danger to abuse?
 
Yeah you don't want to use something with guaifenesin in it, it's dangerous at recreational doses and its side effects include nausea and vomitting. I remember there being worse stuff about it, but offhand don't have a link. You'd want something where the only active ingredient is DXM.
 
Correct - do not drink that in recreational-sized doses for DXM. You'll end up extremely nauseous and vomiting at the least, worst end up in the hospital. At least it's not as bad as coricedin...

Regardless, do not drink that whole thing or really any of it...

"Guaifenesin (gwye-FEN-a-sin) [3-(2-methoxyphenoxy)-1,2-propanediol] is an expectorant; it increases the production of respiratory tract fluids, thus making phlegm less viscous and easier to cough up. Guaifenesin has been shown effective as an expectorant, but is of no use as a cough suppressant. It is often combined with dextromethorphan. Guaifenesin should not be used for chronic coughs or coughs accompanied by excessive phlegm (1-2).

High doses of guaifenesin tend to induce emesis (i.e., you puke). Other effects from high guaifenesin doses are not well known, but probably not serious. Some suggest that guaifenesin may act as a muscle relaxant at high doses (an effect for which it is used in veterinary medicine).

Conclusion: as most people do not enjoy vomiting, I would recommend avoiding guaifenesin-containing products. "

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. There are, however, formulations that don't contain guaifenesin.

EDIT: Pjkt2501 thanks for confirming. I've heard nothing good about Guaifenesin.
 
buy robitussin long acting cough. 350 mg is a good first plat trip. some like it some dont, personally i dont like how it changes the way i think. but to each his own. it you have trouble with the taste, hold your nose while you drink. it eliminates most of the taste. or you can buy the soft gels and swallow a shit ton of those... same thing basically.
 
Tripman, i found it is that as a moderator you playgerized (sp) something from dr William white's dxm faq. Op i suggest you read that faq which can be found on erowid.org . If you still have any questions after that then god man i don't know what to say. I thought in my post i thoroughly explained everything to you and i never said the guif. Would kill you. It will add to the nausea. Re read my post so i don't have to seturetype it
 
Ok well I went and bought a 8 oz (237ml)bottle of adult tussin only active ingredient is dxm hbr in each 5ml dose is 15mg of dxm, keep in mind this is my first time is fine to drink the whole bottle?

I did not intentionally plagiarize anything. I haven't dosed DXM in over 5 years and that was the method I used back then. I did not know where I learnt it so I was just sharing the information.

I have also edited my post accordingly with this information.

That is 711mg of DXM which is in all honesty too much for a first time.

I would not recommend drinking more than half AKA 355.5mg, and even that will be quite a large dose for a beginner.

BL isn't an emergency service. It was your own mistake to not wait for a response. I answered your original question in 28 minutes and your second asking in 6 minutes.

It is not my fault you did not wait for a response. IMO I answered your question extremely promptly.
 
I feel fine now just a lil intoxicated. But my girl drank a bottle of delsym and keeps thinking her trip is permenant or something but shes only 110 pds shes scared and is saying the strangest things
 
Delsym makes everyone puke. It's extended release in a suspension so people think they need more cause theyre not high right away.

It never made me sick, but I always loved giving people a bottle (smaller one) after seeing me down one then watch them puke (I always tell them they will, but noone ever listens).

I apologize, i was wrong in saying that, i have no good excuse, just an apology. I'm actually quite embarrassed i said that to you. That's moot characteristic of me at all. It must have been the benzo withdrawal. Anyways all apologies

Lol i agree, ad i read through the threat it is pretty much like everyone have him solid advice but it almost appears he didn't care to read what we took time out of our days to write for his benefit not ours. I don't want to jump all over you op but come on, allot of people tried to give you god advice and you ignored it all. So i guess you learned on a trial and error basis

Tripman, i see at the bottom of your posts some pretty nice conversion charts, do you happen to have one for stimulants, ie adderall to didrex or d/amphetamine to l/amphetamine. Make sense?
