I know that there are several reasons for brief muscle spasms like upper lip twitching or eyelid fluttering. Such occurrences are quite common, and are usually only cause for concern if the incidents obstruct daily activities or persist. Have you been stressed out lately or have discontinued a drug or caffeine. The most commonly seen twitch is when alcohol abuse or withdrawal, or smoking are a commonality for the individual. The substances that enter the body that the body is not used to, or is used to, and suddenly cut of from, cause reactions in the body that the body would not normally experience. If your symptom persists please see a general health care practitioner to run some tests.

it just suddeny started and now 3% of all day i have it.... hour doesnt go without it :(

I dont smoke, drink or use any drugs or meds including weed or caffeine

it started three days after lifted weights in gym I was chillin home

I have problem with my spine,I have fucked up C2/C3 and as it pressure my spine I hear constant high freqency whistle 24/7 for year now

I think that somehow my upper back muscle gains could push some artery or nerve.I am recovering from upper back atrophy

also three days back my retarded family woke me up like five times and I slept only 4 hours I normaly sleep 9-12 hours it was torturing I was so pissed off I nearly beat them,it was very stressfull

I know that ocassionally I get twitches usually on my arms when I only sleep for 4 or 5 hours and would disappear after a day or two plus with the stress. Now that you have mentioned that you have a problem with your spine maybe it is best to check with a doctor as to why the twitching is happening so he could properly assess you and give you the proper medication imo.

Have you had the common cold recently, or any other kind of viral illness? Sometimes that will aggravate the facial nerve (cranial nerve #7) and cause it to spasm. Is there any numbness in the face? If so, then the trigeminal nerve (CN5) is implicated.

If this is a new problem, then it's unlikely related to your older injury because CN5 and 7 do not innervate the back; however, they do innervate the neck, so if you have any new soft tissue injuries (like from working out), then that could be a factor. These nerves have autonomic functions including maintaining muscle tone in the face. It sounds like they are still functioning but some kind of tissue compression has caused a disruption, hence the twitch.

I would avoid upper torso workouts at the gym for a while as there may be localized inflammation where these nerves pass. Try neck massages, gentle stretching, and heat therapy to increase blood flow. Since you have already addressed nutrition I think it's more likely that a stiff mucle is to blame.
