WB Superstar who saw it?

That was some funny ass shit. I usually don't watch TV, but that was some fucked up shit. There gonna take somebody and make him think he's a superstar and just murder his dream. It's one of those things that's so wrong you have to watch. What do you guys think?

care to elaborate on the concept. the wb website doesn't really say much more than i would expect from a regular star search-type show:

"In the first episode of this outrageous reality show from creator/executive producer Mike Fleiss (The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, High School Reunion), the show goes on a national search for the person who believes they have what it takes to be America's next superstar."

It's like the american idol, but they send the good ones home and pass the real bad ones on, telling them how good they are. It's sad watching these obviously screwed up people get told how good they are just for our enjoyment, but at the same time it's pretty damn funny. They're gonna break some hearts and cruch some spirits. It says something of our culture, that knocking people less than us and seriously screwing with people's head just for our amusement. But at the same time It was the hardest I've laughed from tv, besides Chappelle's show, in a long time. It was so wrong I had to watch. Monday night on the wb.

this shit is great i wouldnt be surprised if the winner tried killing himself cuz im sure what they say is gunna hurt

i think it's fucked up that they give false hope to people who really have no talent. i hope the talented people who get rejected are debriefed after the show.

regardless, this does sound really funny and i'd like to be a judge on it.

i think it is just an over done first round of american idol (and a failure at that) that will end up crushing someone

How can the 8 finalists actually think they have a good voice? I mean its absolutely atrocious!!!

wouldnt friends or family maybe call up their loved one and say something along the lines of ...well, the last time i heard you singing or whatever... it wasnt exactly star quality or even good... what happened? did you have lessons? are you sure this is for real?
