OK! I have a question for someone who actually has knowledge on this! I have been using syrups for about a year1/2 or two straight, at least a couple days a month, so I don't need to hear any Bullsh1t. . so if you don't know the answer please don't clog up this board!
This is a suspended release syrup! My question is it the Hydro that is suspended(which I am douting) or the Muculus (whatever) that is being suspended over 12 hours?
And if it is the Hydro! Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

Both ingredients are xtnd release. I think that the 2nd ingredient is clorphenarine maleate, or something like that. Some kind of antihistamine. I believe that tuss is 60 mg of hydro per Oz. I recall reading a warning, possibly in the Tuss-x monograph that it should not be diluted with water, as it could alter/accelerate the release of the drug, and lead to overdose. Interpret this as you will. I'm afraid that I can't provide any links or sources to back this up, but I don't think it could hurt to try. Just make sure the dose of hydro isn't too much.

Hey- thanks alot!
I think I was going to do that anyway! My insurance didn't cover this perscription, so I was only able to afford the 2oz bottle. I was going to stretch it as long as I can till I can pick up the rest of the script.
Thanks man!

Yeah, that stuff is unbelievably expensive. Wonder why there isn't a generic available yet.(or generic dexadrine for that matter.)
But, it does seem worth it. Just out of curiosity, are you getting it for legitimate problems, or do you have a really nice dr?

I actually had to visit the doctor to pick up the script for the Tussionex. I have a cough mostly all the time, due to going to clubs and shit every weekend and smoking like a thousand cigs. So he will usually just call in some hissinex or something for me. But I went to visit him so I guess he hooked me up! Oh by the way, Your right- Its deffinately worth the price- I'm still high and its been like 30 hours or so!

Oh yeah! I did ask the Pharmy if they had a generic equivelent, these are her exact words. . ."No, I wish!". . . Just thought that that was quite humorous!
