Opioids tussionex overdose potential

i have a super-high tolerance with regard to opiates. typically take around 150-200 mgs of oxy to feel much. i've also been on suboxone on and off for the last 3 or 4 months. my last sub dose was about a week ago. yesterday, i got a script for 90cc's of Tussionex. i just got it filled and downed half of it (45 cc's) off the rip. after that, i was reading that it contains an antihistamine, as well. stupid me. did i just fuck up or will my night be okay?

Chances are that you'll be ok, but know for the future that taking half of it was VERY dangerous.

The antihistamine in Tussionex - chlorpheniramine maleate - can be very dangerous when taken in large doses. The most that can be taken safely is 24mg over 24 hours (15mL or cc) and you took 72mg at once. Because its time-released, it will slightly mitigate the danger.

Bottom line - don't take that much again, and if you happen to start feeling negative effects such as a rapid heart beat, etc go to the ER. It might also be a good idea to have someone else with you, as seizures can occur in severe cases.
