I read on this site all the time and I always take great information from it, but now I am trying to get off of Oxys and methadone I am not dealing well with the withdrawl. Although I have not taken methadone for 8 days I was taking a lot and I have heard it takes months to stop withdrwling from it. I want to do good, but it is getting harder every day. I broke down last night and did some oxy. I need people to talk to when I feel the worst. My family knows I am doing this, but they don't understand how hard it is!! I think the anxiety and body achs are the worst for me.
Anyone have any info that may help me?

What she said. The Dark Side is my home, and it is some of the best support I've ever received from a group of people. I know you will love it there :) Welcome to Bluelight.

Welcome to Bluelight!

I would suggest you look into a taper (Other Drugs - Directory - Community Projects: Tapering Plans) - and if that still doesn't seem to help enough, I would look into a low dose buprenorphine taper, which is a much easier option in terms of the degree of physical withdrawal - which is very little compared to full agonist opiates.

Enjoy the site and best of luck in quitting! It's never easy for anyone who has been through that, but when you are successful in getting back to your old self, you'll feel a new-found sense of strength and self-reliance for getting through it.
