Not being on opiates sucks at first. You just have to gut it out & get through it. I'm on methadone right now but a super low dose (15 mg) & dropping to 14 mg tomorrow. I feel like crap more than half the day... But i havent used in 2 months. In 2 more I'll be off methadone & clean. You just need to want it enough to grit your teeth through the hard part & remind yourself, it WILL get better. You'll learn how to feel hood without drugs again. Im not even there yet, i still feel crappy, but i have faith that this is the right decision, and ill feel good and be happy again, soon, without drugs.

Some days i want to use so bad... Sometimes i ferl like the next few hours without dope are simply going to be impossible. But time goes by... You get better.

You just need to believe itll be worth it.

Im assuming youre not sick while on subs, right? Just bored/craving?

<3 Blue that was so inspirational <3.

I can't really phrase it any better than Blue did. Each day will be one tiny bit better than the day before until you are back to normal again. Really believing the struggle to be clean is worth the normalcy and happiness in the end is what will get you through. It's the only thing that will get you through. Honestly it's the only thing that's got me through. So if you can just try to remember a few days back and compare the little things that have changed you'll notice things do change and you do get better. <3

I've found that there's so much more to withdrawal symptoms than waiting for your body's natural balance to restore itself -- things can be made more difficult or easier if you absorb yourself into a positive routine. Whether it's exercise, reading, watching a favorite television show, writing, or another hobby, staying involved in a personal activity increases your quality of life.
