Trying Meth for the first time

Hello, I have a simple question regarding methamphetamine - should I try it? I've done amphetamine, MDMA, mephedrone, methylphenidate, cocaine and crack cocaine and never had problems with any of them. I have experienced addiction, but it was heroin that bought me to my knees (even though every heroin dealer I went to invariably also had crack, regular use never appealed to me, even when my supply was basically unlimited), but I'm now on day 22 and definitely am out of the woods physically and psychologically. I was planning on trying it around Christmas time, my only source is very far away and a huge inconvenience to get too, so my supply will be somewhat limited. but I thought I should seek advice before using the only one of the real drugs known for addiction first as I never heeded anyone's warnings about heroin - that finding a true long term chipper is like finding a fuckin unicorn - so I thought I should be less arrogant this time and do some research. Is it easier to use methamphetamine on a purely recreational basis than it is heroin? Any advice would be much appreciated.

In short: could you try it? Indeed. You could even get away with trying it only once.
But should you try it? Hell no you shouldn't, meth is a pretty addictive drug.
Also, you certainly know yourself better then us.

I hope you make the right decision :)

I'm aware it's probably not the wisest of decisions, I'm just wondering if the potential for addiction is as high as heroin - i.e. if you try it, you are most likely definitely going to get addicted level. I was arrogant enough to think I could pick up and put down heroin as I pleased and it bought to my knees so I'm going to put a lot of thought into whether I want to try another drug that potentially could be as powerful. I'm aware that heroin tapped into the addictive side of my personality in a way that other drugs, especially stimulants, never did, but then again I'm aware that meth is in a league of its own.

Yes the addiction potential is i would say pychologically stronger than heroin, allthough it depends if you're more of n upper or downer perrson... That being said, if your contact is far and a hassle to get to, chances are you'll get quite a bit at once, you'll binge, and will be EXTREMELY tempted to get more, when you're running low you will be so scared not having any more, 99% chance you'll go get a new batch... Not many methamp "chippers" out there either i believe...

I wouldn't if i were you...

No you shouldn't try this shit...
the list of reasons not to outweigh the "you'll get high" factor 100/1

I would try it, but it's one of my DOCs (drugs of choice). The euphoria, once you get a feel for it, is subtle, euphoric, and at times overwhelming. Meth isn't ALL that addictive in itself, but one dose lasts anywhere from 12 to 48 hours of no sleep. It's not nearly as addictive as heroin in my opinion. If you do try it, find something to occupy your time with such as reading a book, writing in your journal or on bluelight, painting, or drawing with sharpies. Meth is the kind of drug that makes doing math problems entertaining, and is GREAT for studying and taking tests. The pitfall comes in, though, when you decide to stay high ALL the time, which soon proves impossible. Not staying hydrated, not eating, and not taking care of periodical personal hygiene tasks for extended periods of time will come back to bite you in the ass. Provided that you eat, brush your teeth, drink fluids, and take baths/showers with soap, you will be fine, even without sleep.

Personally, I LOVE meth. I wish I could get some.

Honestly, there are plenty of RCs that are much better than Meth (thats my personal opinion, to each their own.) Plus, all of the meth I come across is impure as hell.

The high is nice if you get some good stuff, and if you get some quality stuff, and snort one big line you will be GOOD for at least 6 hours from my experience. You might also want to have lots of sex or watch lots of porn :)

Honestly though, I would recommend AGAINST trying it. Where Im located, its a dirty drug, addictive, and can land you with some jail time. Plus if you smoke it, your teeth are done for. Stick to weed or something.

I'm going to echo everyone else and say you might wanna sit this one out. Just based on your story which leads me to believe you have an addictive personality like me. No one wakes up one day and decides to become a hardcore meth addict. In fact almost everyone starts out with that exact rationale, that they won't have access to it, or that they're just gonna do it once to see what's up. When you got into heroin I'm willing to bet that you said the same thing.
Like comfortablynumb said, you know you, and its your choice but I think you shouldn't open another prospective Pandora box so to speak

I've used meth maybe a half dozen times. It feels absolutely fantastic, but after coming down I don't even want to look at that shit for a long time. I'm the same way for all stimulants actually - I've done far more cocaine than any other stimulant, and yet I do not want to touch the stuff for long periods after a night of partying on stims. Just want to sleep, go to the gym, and eat spinach. However I know people who after 1 hit of meth just feel compelled to binge for as long as they have drugs; stay up for days. I don't think anyone really knows why different people react differently to drugs, but they do.

I think it's definitely possible to be an occasional user, or even just to try it a few times and not feel a huge urge to use again. But it's also very possible to psychologically crave that high after your first hit, and it can quickly become a downward spiral. Won't know unless you try. It is a huge risk though.

I would have to say probably not a good idea. I am meth addict and it will mentally F you. As you know heroin is very addicting physically. Meth is very addicting mentally once you got it ya want more. That was my experience with the shit. Ya want to have some fun lets try some meth the problem is your brain really really likes it and usually wants more so you usually get more and then its like a fucking emotional rollercoaster! But if your going to do it be safe we all know the choice is yours just know the consequences of it. Be safe man!

IME its more addictive. Heroin is childs play compared to meth.

Almost a month passed since OP posted this,so if he hasnt yet tried meth id suggest to do it only if hes still clean from heroin. He posted that being clean for 22 days he was "out of the woods" but that certainly isnt the case, maybe the physical WDs are over but addiction is much more than that, and its easy to trade one addiction to another, especially at this early of a stage.

If i was still clean(for a total of about 2 months by now?) and thought that i could handle it,it would try it once to kinda "reward" myself for not touching opiates for so long. This is not a right mindframe,i know, but oh well, addicts gonnaa think like addicts.

Then again,im not a big stimulants lover(opiates and benzos are my thing) so id be preety sure i wouldnt get hooked on such a "fast paced" drug.
OP gotta think about his tendencies and be careful.

most definatley dont try it ,like the man sais say goodbye to yer teeth i have had falsies for a few years now though i went threw a methadone program for all the drugs i took and am now clean cept for pot and my meds,i started out just wanting to try it then went on a 2 year bender doing it all the time...its great for cleaning though lol or learning and instrument, lol BUT HELL NO dont try it :) peace

Methamphetamines high is amazing, theirs no denying that. The euphoria it produces is in honestly in a class of its own IMHO. Should you try it? No, it's highly addictive & the negatives eventually seem to outweigh the positives with compulsive usage. I still struggle with on/off addiction with dope but if you've never done it. I'd stay away for the best.

Sleep deprivation can destroy you
