So i havent done any opiates since like 2 weeks but today i had so much trouble urinating that I couldnt go at all even though i have to go badly.

Is this from the opiates or is it too long ago for that to be it?

also ive had constipation that i know is from the opiates because i just started opiates and ive never been constipated like that in years.

Two weeks ago is likely too long ago for it to be having a direct effect now especially if you haven't had any problems in the meantime. You'll have to get it checked out by a doctor with things like, UTI, kidney stones, swollen prostate, all being options. It could be that the lack of proper urination while on opiates could have helped trigger some of these problems as well.

Regarding the constipation is that also still occurring when you haven't used in 2 weeks? That seem strange as well. A fecal impaction could be putting pressure on your urinary tract and be the cause of your continued constipation.

the constipation isnt a big deal.

Now the trouble urinating ive had for a couple of weeks ever since i started using opiates and i feel that now that its on my mind that im having trouble urinating. but now i dont know what to do.

That is a normal side effect of opiate use. Urinary retention may not be as common as constipation but it is a side effect.

I have had this for a long time. You just have to trick your mind into going......running water, sitting down etc...

Yeah I have got to confess that I usually have to wait a good few seconds to get it going when I am using me meth or smack for that matter. Never had a problem when I was younger but as you get older its more of a problem for us blokes (so I am told ;-) Also its more of a problem the more wasted you are...

A nurse told me after one of my surgeries that opiates can cause bladder spasms, even after they have been out of your system for awhile. If your bladder does start to spasm it will feel like you really have to go even when you don't.

I get this all the time on oxy. My trick is to get in the bathtub, squat, and turn on the warm water so it runs over your feet. Squating releives a lot of presure on the bladder opposed to sitting on the toilet or standing, and the warm water just helps the feeling along. Works for me everytime.

I get this problem soooooooo bad and it lasts so much longer than it should. Which means it's definitely my state of mine. Also because when I try to not think about peeing and just stand there (or sit, more comfortable) and let it come naturally it works best.

All about the mind. But its SO HARD!!!
