You got some points for various things. They were just turned on, so people that have been here for a while got trophies for things they would've gotten a long time ago. There's a thread about it in the lounge.

It's just a light-hearted thing to give people points for contributing to the site, it's not that serious. But if the consensus is that people don't like them, they can easily be turned off.

i really never paid much attention to all the numbers around an avatar until i became a mod and had to look up some stuff.
i think it's good that it's not all shown under the avatars on the post sites, but only when you click on an user's avatar. this way you don't need to process information about details and users you are not interested in.
