Tripping buddies

This will be my last question about first time tripping on LSD as I've got a plan and I've accepted the potential effects of the drug.

If you trip with other people, should it only be with really close friends? Or can it be with buddies but not really close ones?

The guy I've planned to do it with is a cool guy and we get on pretty well whenever we do hang out. But he's not exactly one of my best buds, I don't see him around as much as I used to and we haven't known eachother for too long. I do think I trust him and he's a more experienced tripper.

Good idea to trip with him and some of his mates?
 
It's important to be with people that you are comfortable with. I prefer consuming them alone or having somebody online that I can interact with. But if you're going to be hanging out with somebody I think the best choice is somebody that you feel comfortable being yourself around and expressing how you are feeling.
 
Just close friends that you can talk with, about anything.
Maybe you want to talk about your childhood memories.

And you want to feel safe which is easier with people you know.
 
If you're comfortable and genuinely happy to trip with him, then that will be absolutely fine. Best friends is not a requirement, just people who are respectful and you will be happy with.

Don't lie to yourself.
 
I've tripped with people I never met before, friends of friends in an unknown environment (house). The crew was so chill that I felt really comfortable and had a great time. On the other hand I've tripped with acquaintances from school who have weird social dynamics and it turned out to be a pretty unpleasant time as the tension in the room seemed to be suffocating.

My advice is to trip with good friends or others who are super chill and accepting!
 
I wouldn't worry over it. I have a few trip buddies. I'm not super close with them, but I genuinely find them to be good people that I'm comfortable with. Since you said this is your first time, I imagine you probably aren't taking a huge amount of LSD anyway. Also I would find comfort in knowing that he's experienced.
