In my head
Yesterday I managed to persuade my doctor to prescribe me .125mg Halcion pills. Obviously I'd prefer the .25mg pills, but it's not unlikely I can persuade him to give me those instead, seeing as he just took away a lot of my previous sleep medications and the fact that he didn't even know the drug before yesterday when I told him about it.

Anyways, I know Triazolam is one of the most potent hypnotics in the benzo-family, but is it fast-acting and K.O.'ing like flunitrazepam is? Are the highs approximately the same? And how many mgs of triazolam would approximately equal 4mg of flunitrazepam?

I should probably say that I'm not all about the high and I'm not addicted to benzo's; I deliberately told him I no longer wanted the alprazolam he prescribed me, one of the reasons being the extended half life compared to triazolam. And when I were given alprazolam, I didn't take it everyday even though I was given it each day. I'm just very interested in drugs (chemistry and biology alike) and want to try, if not all, then many of them. So please don't tell me I'm being irresponsible or that I should keep away from benzo's altogether yadda yadda, I just wish triazolam compared to flunitrazepam :)

I have not experienced Triazolam myself so can't speak from personal experience.

This is taken from the Bluelight Benzo Conversion Chart though

Triazolam = 0.25 mg (hypnotic; onset/time to peak: 0.5-2 hrs; 2 hr half life)

Flunitrazepam = 1 mg (hypnotic; onset/time to peak: 0.5-3 hrs; 18-26 hr half life

It seems that 1mg Triazolam would be equivalent to 4mg Flunitrazepam and takes about the same amount of time to come on, but Triazolam having such a shorter half life compared to Flunitrazepam.

Thanks alot, that is most helpful!

If anyone has personal experience with this pharmaceutical, I'd love to hear it.

I have experienced both - it is WAY more sedating and hypnotic than flunitrazepam. In fact, I find nitrazepam to be more sedating and hypnotic than flunitrazepam. I've had experience with many, many benzodiazepines. Flunitrazepam is great, I like it very much but you know what? It is just like all the other benzo's. There's nothing special about it.

The most sedating benzo's IME:

1. Triazolam
2. Nitrazepam
3. Temazepam
4. Flunitrazepam

The most euphoric benzo's IMS:

1. Temazepam
2. Nitrazepam
3. Flunitrazepam
4. Triazolam
5. Diazepam

I've tried many more benzo's, but these are the ones that make the cut.

There's lormetazepam, loprazolam, midazolam (I've tried this, but I tried it orally and I was disappointed), flutoprazepam, cinolazepam, doxefazepam, and haloxazolam. All powerful hypnotics which I haven't tried (with the exception of midazolam).

Then there's brotizolam and nimetazepam (which I haven't tried). Brotizolam would be on the level of triazolam. According to some who have tried it, say it is even stronger than triazolam in KO'ing you into tomorrow.
Nimetazepam took Southeast Asia by storm. They say it makes flunitrazepam and temazepam seem like light weights in comparison. They (temazepam, flunitrazepam, and nimetazepam) are the only benzo's that are Schedule III under the Convention on Psychotropic Substances of 1971, a United Nations treaty that has 175 countries party to it.

Alprazolam, clonazepam, lorazepam, bromazepam, oxazepam, and all the rest of the anxiolytics can't even be compared to the hypnotics above. It's like comparing NSAIDS to opiates. Forget about it.

I think it's awesome we have someone on the board who knows so much about benzos. And I thought I knew a lot about them :)

I'm relieved you put Triazolam in the category of the most euphoric benzos, because I'm not just looking to fall asleep ;) Tomorrow is the day when I retrieve my Halcions, and man am I looking forward to it :D

I read about Nimetazepam and Japan / Asia, too, I think it's the Yakuza that distributes it primarily, but I also always thought Lormetazepam was more potent, but maybe those two have nothing to do with each other, other than the names being similar.

I also heard Brotizolam is more potent than Triazolam, or at least the same, but still I'm more interested in Triazolam and Brotizolam isn't even marketed in my country (Denmark) as far as I'm informed. Flunitrazepam is still legal (with a prescription of course) but rarely prescribed, even Halcion is more common, except if you are like 80 years old or something.

I know you know much more about benzos than I do, but I HAVE to disagree when you say flunitrazepam is like the average benzo; maybe it is chemically or in terms of biological effects on the human body or what do I know, but it is still my favorite benzo, no other benzo can leave me sitting in my bed reading Donald Duck or just staring at the wall and feel completely at bliss, IT FEELS SO GOOD! Not even alprazolam can make me feel that anxiety-free AND euphoric, and I only recently stopped being prescribed alprazolam, having also been given clonazepam and oxazepam.

And you are probably right, flunitrazepam isn't all it's hyped up to be, but for me it's still the best benzo, even though it may not exactly be divine or something like that :)

Actually I think I have to combine benzos to get the desired effects if I don't have access to flunitrazepam. I remember once combining alprazolam and nitrazepam and getting a high quite similar to the high flunitrazepam provides, but still I'd take flunitrazepam over any other benzo any day of the week :D I'll shut up now.

^you should edit out what you have under "edit" in that post. i know it is not what you intend, but it will likely turn into a convo about manipulating doctors, which will be the end of this thread.

i was really on the edge of whether or not to suggest you remove it, because it was not really against the rules. it was just probably going to inspire a bunch of posts from other users that would be against the rules. edit: oh, and thank you for taking my advice and doing so, btw.

but anyway, the answer is "reputation." roofies have a bad one.

LoL! Are you kidding? Don't even compare alprazolam to flunitrazepam, nitrazepam, triazolam or any other hypnotic benzo!

Alprazolam is a joke in comparison. It's only a strong anxiolytic. Weak on all other parameters.

By the way, is temazepam available in Denmark? I know in Norway and Sweden it is banned and in Norway it's Class A and in Sweden it's put under 2 schedules - List II (Schedule II) which denotes that it is a drug with limited medicinal use and a high risk of addiction, and it's also listed as a List V (Schedule V) substance which denotes that the drug is prohibited in Sweden under the Narcotics Drugs Act (1968 ).

Because you know of all the abuse of the "jellies" in Europe back before being banned. Now in Sweden and Norway they only have zopiclone, nitrazepam, and flunitrazepam as sleep-aids and nothing else.

^Trust this guy's advice. He's the resident benzo expert and I trust his statements about 'em.

Does that mean that it's still technically legal in Sweden or vise-versa?

I trust him (as far as I'd trust someone I've never met, but I absolutely trust his advice, although he's the one who said flunitrazepam is 'a benzo like all others', which is basically a comparison between flunitrazepam and any other benzo in my eyes). And I know he's a/the benzo expert, I'm just speaking from my own experience, and no I wouldn't compare alprazolam to flunitrazepam, but neither did I say flunitrazepam is a benzo like any other.

I have never encountered temazepam in Denmark, neither on the black market nor in pharmacies. Searching for compounds marketet in Demark containing temazepam came up with zero results, so I think it's safe to say it's either banned in Denmark or simply not on the market.

As for Sweden and Norway I dunno, but the laws are pretty much the same I think. I know we have Zopiclone, Nitrazepam, Flunitrazepam and Triazolam, sadly not Brotizolam though. You can search for drugs available on the danish market here: http://pro.medicin.dk/ Use a translator if you have to. Also, sometimes the spelling is a bit off, like it's 'zopiclon' and not 'zopiclone' and 'ph' is often 'f'.

And I have to say again, it was never my intention to compare alprazolam with flunitrazepam, on the contrary actually, since I never got the slightest bit of euphoria with alprazolam; it made me TIRED and perhaps a bit RELAXED, but even that could have been placebo whereas with flunitrazepam there's no doubt at all. So if you thought I compared alprazolam with flunitrazepam I either screwed up my phrasing or you misinterpreted my message :)

It's banned, so it would be illicit/illegal and so if smuggled into Sweden (which it probably is), it would simply be a street drug.

Ahh, makes sense to me. I have no understanding of their scheduling system but considering the epidemic temazepam caused...I completely understand why they would just treat it as a hard street drug.

Flunitrazepam is just another benzo like nitrazepam, like triazolam, like temazepam, like lormetazepam, like any of the hypnotics. It's YOUR personal favorite - but it's not everybodies personal favorite. :)
Temazepam and nimetazepam are the most popular when you're talking on a global scale.

You never seem to mention midazolam kokaino, which in my opinion is one of the most euphoric hypnotic benzos out there, not to mention it is water soluble and can be snorted.

If I don't mention it that doesn't mean it's not one of the best. I don't happen to mention many of the hypnotics. It's a great hypnotic, midazolam. I didn't find it euphoric, in fact, I was disappointed by it. I took it orally, but I might have taken a smaller dose relative to my tolerance. Captain.Heroin still finds oral temazepam more euphoric than IV midazolam.

I'm not saying it's everybody's favorite, you're twisting my words. I'm simply saying I did not compare to alprazolam, end of story!

Lets not get into arguments, there is another thread in the forum for discussing the most euphoric benzos and also a social/quick question thread for any other chit chat and quick questions you may have that you don't feel warrant their own thread.

Going to close this now as it seems your original question was answered and this is drifting towards social, feel free to post in the social/quick question thread that I mentioned though :)
