my first post guys. hope you can identify with it.

i used to climb trees with daddy
and daddy's manfriend.
clouds, and waterfalls. i knew so much, and yet so little.
a toothbrush by the sink; no father to teach me about manfriends. i am not a freak!
you call me a freak cause i wear big pants. i am not the manfriend of yesteryear; i am ferocious like the tiger, like the caged and feral manfriend of the twilight kingdom.
daddy touched me.

thank you, sprout, for taking the time to read my work. it comforts me to know that i can at least connect with someone on this board. sorry i was so whiny, and thank you kindly for all the roses. they are mighty purty. if you give me a few more, i'll make a wreath out of them, and then whenver i'm sad, i can wear the wreath and feel beautiful and loved and strong.

A lot more people read your poems than you think. I had read this earlier, but I just didn't know how to respond. What matters is that it had meaning to you; that you were able to express yourself in a way that you wished.
Please don't let a lack of replies discourage you, and please don't go around asking for people to respond. They will respond when and if they feel like it. Thank you for posting the poem though. I can't say that I relate, but I can definitely pick up on the emotions you put into it.

thanks for the advice ice-9. i don't know why i'm so stupid sometimes. stupid stupid stupid! i really act like a big fat jerk.
it was silly to expect that everyone would read my writing. i know, people will reply to what they want to reply to. and maybe it just isn't that good...i know i can do better.
so, bear with me.

it's not a matter of good and bad, it's a matter of true emotions written into words..and once you learn how to express yourself to the fullest people will relate..it's just a beggining if you keep writing youll see it get's easier and easier .... Good Luck!
