Treating abcess @ home

I assume this is the right forum to post this in.. anyways..

So I have a very small red spot on my upper left arm.. I'm sure its an abscess just starting. I just had an abscess about month ago that I let get really bad before going to e.r and to make a long story short since I waited so long to go to hospital they kept me there for 4 days which sucked.

So I want to get this one before it turns real nasty.. I've been reading online about home remedies for abscesses and apparently if its not a real bad one you can use "magnesium sulphate paste" to draw the puss..etc to a head at surface of skin.. and it may just open up a drain itself.. then you just get antibiotics from doc..

Anyone on here ever tried this? Also if anyone knows of any other ways to do this at home please explain

You need antibiotics now. If you wait, it could turn septic just like last time very quickly. Don't let this go on.

yeah this really isnt something you can do diy. i mean i guess you could, but its far safer to just let a medical professional do it and get their lecture in rather than trying to lance and drain an abcess yourself. plus you run the risk of infection as well.

Thanks man.. man im a dumbass calling dr and having him check it out and prescribe antibiotics shoulda been obvious to me.. duh..i just hate goin to hospitals/dr offices.. anyways just made appt with my doc for morn. and after this im done with im'ing subutex.. fuckin pointless anyways only reason I do it is to conserve my subs.. although it is weird I've been muscling sub for close to three years with no probs at all.. then all sudden I get 2 abscesses within month of each other.

*edit* thank you too, medicine cabinet. Yeah goin to docs is for sure best idea.. if they have to drain this one it probably wont hurt at all its so small.. the one last month hurt like a motherfucker but that one was huge and gross.
