Struggling with the ocean
as I swim again.
Like that dog paddle we all had to learn
sink or swim.
I tend to tread water
hoping I will make up my mind
waves go by me
some higher then others
but i tread,
not letting the waves take me to safety
nor out to the ocean's abyss
I tread
wondering if my legs will break down and give up,
then i will have to make up my mind,
will i sink or swim?
the playful dolphins becking me to play
telling me to just swim
I only tread, bidding my time
eventually it will come to
sink or swim.

Is this a metaphor for a decision you need to make about someone or something?? That is how I read it. It is excellent!

A beautiful metaphor hun...and *exactly* how I feel right now in so many ways...
You have both the courage and the strength within you to NOT sit safely on the beach and to NOT give up and sink when the waves get too rough, but to take charge of your destiny, whatever it may be, and swim towards the horizon.
