Social Justice Transgender and gender identity discussion

The right for right wingers to compare homosexuality with pedophilia "Trumps" homosexuals' right to not be labeled as pedophiles.
 
What everyone needs to understand is that bluelight isn't a dedicated politics forum. It's a drug abuse support forum.

Drug users are disproportionately likely to suffer from mental illness, and gays and transgender people are both disproportionately represented among drug users.

Because our mission is to support drug users. Absolute free speech rights can't really exist here. It would go against the best interests of our primary mission.

Ceps certainly has the most free speech of anywhere in bluelight. But there are still limits. If what you say would most likely be highly offensive to gays, transgender, etc, and isn't necessary, it'll probably be found to be against blua4.

Particularly if it's phrases in more absolute terms and less as a personal opinion.

It's not about if you're right or wrong. It's about how harmful such opinions can be to vulnerable individuals in a place designed to attract and support them.

If you wish to have more liberal free speech I can only recommend finding a dedicated free speech forum.

If someone goes there when such opinions could be harmful to them, unfortunately that's just on them.

But here it's not unreasonable for drug users to expect a certain level of civility on a support forum.

That's why it is and should be illegal. That it isn't in some places and times only shows how abuse can be institutionalized.

But I agree. Conflating pedophilia with homosexuality and or transgenderism has resulted in infractions before and may well again if continued.

We have lots of gay bluelighters. Insinuating they're pedophiles is obviously going to be offensive and usually won't pass an argument of "necessary to make a point".

So how about beastiality, there’s people who like having sex with animals is that normal sexual behavior? Soon they’ll want to marry their pets and who’s to stop them? They allow same sex marriage why not human and animal marriage, where shall the line be drawn, then there’s the pedos who believe they should have the right to have sex with underage children because that’s their sexual preference.

Bestiality is harming an animal that's unable to consent.

The lines real simple.

Adults have a right to do what they wish with other adults provided everyone's consenting. Real simple.

Children can't consent. Animals can't consent. People who've been ruled by the courts to be mentally defective can't consent.

Everyone else has a right to find love wherever they find it.

I was prepared to discuss your opinions with you in a reasonable way although my own views are very different to yours.

However this post clearly demonstrates you are not acting in good faith or listening to the people who have tried to respond constructively to you.

Sorry man but that’s a hard exit from discussing these topics with you for me.
 
Also note that gay marriage has already happened in several countries and these fears of Bestiality marriage and such have been found to be exactly as unfounded as the gay marriage supporters always said they were.

Nobody is gonna successfully argue to me that a gay man sincerely in love with another gay man, or the same with women, don't have a right to have their love recognized in marriage.

If anyone fucked up marriage it was us straight people. We're the one that turned it into a joke.

Why? Does beastiality not exist? Is that normal or a sickness of the mind, you don’t want to discuss it because you can’t admit I’m right. God made man as a man and a woman as woman two women cannot procreate two men cannot procreate.

Yes I am acting in good faith and being respectful while doing so.

Figures that you're one of the religious types.

This is why religion has such a bad name these days. Which is a real shame cause there as so many great religious people I've met who've really embraced Jesus message of unconditional love.

Regardless. Religion has no place in our legal systems. The founders of the constitution knew that. Many of them being deists.

So religious arguments carry no weight. You gotta show why gays shouldn't marriage from an athiest perspective.

I never said they shouldn’t marry, if the law allows it, then it’s their lawful right.

Consent to what?
Okay it’s been destroyed, it goes against all of the natural laws of nature, that’s how I respond from an atheist point of view.

It hardly matters. Homosexuality exists in pretty much all the other really smart social animals like us.

They all love fucking each other every which way. :P
