The data highlighting the suicide rates and kids growing out of their transgenderism, doesn't matter or you don't believe it? What about that original (arguably unethical) study where someone did the experiment on twins and brought them up as different genders? (I believe they both ended up committing suicide).

But, in fact, the gender conversion was far from successful. Money’s experiment was a disaster for Reimer that created psychological scars he ultimately could not overcome.

Terrible logic, I'm sorry. The potential pros/cons of carrying out gender reassignment surgery on a minor vs allowing them to mature and make the decision as an adult is not comparable. Add to that the societal influences and pressures that some of these parents are instilling on their children. For eg Britain's first transgender couple now has a transgender child. What are the chances of that happening?

Quite high if there's a genetic link.

I'm not replying to the rest of your post. Believe whatever you will. I've made my argument to the best of my ability and I'm not gonna continue it till it stops feeling like a waste of time.

What I don't understand is what a trans athlete even gets out of constantly beating people that were born women. If I were trans I think that I would want a level playing field. I wouldn't get anything out of constantly beating people that were born a different biological sex than I was. It all seems really narcissistic.
 
Yeah I gotta say... if a male became a woman, and had all that testosterone from an adolescence and perhaps young adult life as a man, and had the body of a man, it isn't fair to the biological women who have worked super hard their whole careers only to be beat by someone identifying as a women, but with man muscles. I mean there's a reason there's men and women's sports, it's because men tend to be more athletic and stronger, we're just made that way. I think in this case it's more about being fair to all the other athletes than making one athlete more comfortable.

Maybe if someone took hormones their whole life from a kid, they might very nearly be the opposite gender in their body shape/build, so maybe there is a gray line.

It's still nearly. The only genuinely confusing case was that woman athlete from South Africa, I think she was intersex or something.
So then the question is whether transitioning children is ethical and that's a controversial topic. Transgenders make up a very small %. Two transgenders who had a child had the baby also turn out to be transgender. That's quite a coincidence.

yeah but it may not be as big of a coincidence as you think. Being trans has only been accepted for a few years now. It still isn't in many places. People have been taught to repress certain feelings for a long time. If you have parents who are open and receptive to certain possibilities, their child will have a greater chance and realizing certain truths about themselves. And feel more comfortable being open about them and living them out in an accepting atmosphere.

You can also influence a child to do so by expecting it, suggestion etc. If your child is 3 or something at the age where any sexualized themes should not even be any part of their reality, and you they are saying that they're trans or something - well I should be allowed to say that is unacceptable and inappropriate. You can let stuff happen while being open-minded or you can try and force it. It genuinely worries me that this is being normalized and even promoted. I'll stop there because I don't want to get warning/banned.

I'll just say that since we've had the "YES" to gay marriage vote in Australia new sexual education has been introduced into schools. My friend's kids were taught that "you don't know if you're gay or not yet". I've been following this concerted agenda (that many deny exists) for a while and this is an example of a loaded statement.
 
In terms of education on the subject, my preference would be that it starts and ends with "some people are born one gender and occasionally some come to realize they are really another, and this is not something you should hate or fear, but rather accept". I do think it's going too far to try to tell kids they personally might be when that sort of thought hasn't begin to cross their minds yet. To me, the point should be teaching acceptance, so that we don't perpetuate the fear and hate of those who are different.
 
Only solution is to start the tranny olympics. That way they can crack on with their bullshit without dragging genuine athletics into the shitty quagmire of pathetic “I demand to be accepted as something I’m not”
If a group of trans want compete against other then that would be fair.

Chances are we have no idea what the real percentage is. I doubt you can even define it in a way that many would agree on.

What is likely though that the percentage is much higher than it would have appeared when society was highly prejudice towards it. Well, more highly anyway.

On the other hand, I don't actually disagree that there are people who are probably more "socially transgender" for lack of a better term. It can't be ruled out that current numbers are now inflated above whatever the real number is rather than deflated.

I don't know, chances are nobody really does.
