Hi guys need some advice quickly

im 2 days into a tramadol withdrawal, ive gone cold turkey and im in more pain and discomfort that you could ever imagine. not to mention the physiological problems and lack of sleep and all the emotions.
Ive tryed taking some co codamol 30/500 but they just aint touching me.

Should i carry on cold turkey and get it over with? (if so how long is a normal withdrawal until i can function properly)
or
Should i take 1 tramadol tonight just to get through the night? (if so will it make the withdrawal last longer?

Please bare in mind i want this over with asap but i also need to get back in work as ive had 3 days off so far.

You need to taper down, tramadol is not easy to come off cold turkey. The physical symptoms you have will last another few days but you'll also have a few psychological affects that could last weeks just due to the nature of this drug. I suggest you get back on tramadol and find a suitable taper plan. To aid this maybe try some gabapentin, that should ease the physical aches and pains and also help sleep.

ok i have gabapentin here, ive not tryed this yet but i will do now you have said.
Is gabapentin an addictive drug as its the last thing i want to do is get addicted to something else?

Tramadol withdrawal is so horrible because the other activity besides opioid activity in my opinion.

Gabapentin, if you don't take it for every day for more than 5 days and you'll be fine. I've taken huge doses several days in a row and always felt fine. You have to take gabapentin daily for an extended period to develop dependence.
