Hi,
just checking back in. I also couldn't find any specific threads on bali or indonesia (except for one from 2005-6).
can confirm that tramadol IR is indeed legal here. You can go into and pharmacy (called apotek here) and ask for tramal and they will give to you in blisters of 10 (can get multiples) but no box. I'm aware of the seizure risk. Have taken 50mg IR a number of times and then got 200mg SR from my guy in Australia. SR are probably better for long term pain but aren't anywhere near as enjoyable as the IR. I find tramadol really good for spending the day walking around when on holiday. Keeps me in a great mood and means I don't get stressed or annoyed when I got lost or whatever. It is really easy to get lost here but the balinese people are really friendly. I couldnt' find my villa and some young local took me on his motorbike for free.
I am pretty sure mushrooms are legal here but I don't have someone to take them with (the other person I'm here with is working for a number of hours each day). There are shops all over the tourist areas and many say 100% legal on them. They don't hide them or anything. You can even get them delivered to your house (there seems to be no public transport in the country so almost everything is deliverable including pets...)
You do get offered some drugs on the street here but im keeping away from anything illegal. Got offered some presciption pills (including cialis) and weed openly but would probably have been some police set up.
