Opioids Tramadol fail... can I have real opiates now?

Had 200mg of my GF's Tramadol 3.5 hours ago (first ever dose of this drug) with high hopes for a chilled evening. Didn't want to take more on my first time due to seizure risk. It was/is... annoying. I felt like I was on the edge of an opioid buzz and an ecstasy buzz but unable to really enjoy either.

Anyway now that it has started to wear off, can I have some codeine or something? And some diph? Is that safe? I need some sleep. Already started drinking.

P.S. should I do more Tramadol next time? Is this typical of too low a dose?
 
every individual has a different seizure threshold. some people will have negative effects at 200mg of tramadol, and others can take 1000mg without any problems.

No one can guess what your threshold is, but be sure that the doses you are potentially reaching for are already outside the medically recommended dosages. so be careful
 
Do not exceed more than 400mg in 24 hours.

As far as taking more opiates/opioids this would not really be an issue if you are careful (I have no idea what your tolerance is like)but I would not take more opiates/opioids on top of tramadol and drinking alcohol.
 
Well, as you can probably guess, I didn't wait. That's 200mg (approx) CWE codeine on top of the Tramadol.

I have pretty high tolerance to most things but am not a daily heroin user or anything of that sort. I am an alcoholic however. As such the drinking is not really a choice, and I feel alcohol withdrawal would raise the seizure threshold more than alcohol consumption.

Anyway I'm not worried anymore. I feel pretty damn good :P

Oh well...no I assumed if you were asking for advice then, well, that you wanted advice not that you were not going to wait.

I didn't realize the alcohol was a given so I get that. A lot of people get absolutely nothing out of tramadol. Maybe in the future just leave it rather than mix it with the alcohol and another drug (for safety sake).

BTW, saying you are not a daily heroin user doesn't really tell us much...tolerance to a lot of thing...opiate/opioid wise? Cause in regards to taking opiates/opioids your tolerance to "other things" doesn't really matter much. There is a huge gap between "not a daily heroin user" and "pretty high tolerance to most things". For HR sake it is better to be a little more specific in future ).
 
Hey. Sorry friend, I didn't mean to scorn your advice, but you know how it is (I guess?) when you're after a buzz. For the record I found this to be a good combo, but I will not be doing it regularly for safety reasons as you say. Even having done it I'm still interested in getting some real info for future reference... e.g. does my good experience this time mean my threshold is quite high and relatively safe? Or is it a roll of the dice every time?

Re: tolerance - For clarity I did mean opiate tolerance (commonly oxy, codeine), but also general tolerance... in short I am a big guy and I take a lot of drugs. I'm not sure how relevant 'normal' opiate tolerance is to Tramadol anyway given it's strange mode of action.
