Lomg story short, ive been suffering from some bad dental pain. I couldnt find a dentist appointment till wednesday, so i went to my doctor and he prescribed me Tramadol 300 mg Extended Release - to be taken twice a day.

The pain is bad so im very tempted, but as far as i remember, as a previous recreational user, that the max daily dose is 400mg per 24 hours, meaning he made a mistake with his prescription..

Or am i wrong?

I would double check for sure. The max dose of extended release tramadol is 300mg/24 hours. It hasnt been shown to be more effective in higher doses in their clinical trials but there was an unexpected increase in concentration in the blood at 400mg compared to 200mg which could be toxic although they say the clinical significance is unknown.
